Make yourself comfortable in this cosy holiday home and experience Upperudshöljen from the front row. The homely décor, featuring plenty of wood and warm colours, creates a cosy atmosphere. Relax on the sofas and armchairs and enjoy the warmth of the wood-burning stove on cooler evenings. Prepare your meals in the practical kitchen and gather round the large dining table. Plenty of light streams in through the numerous windows, and you can enjoy the view of the water even whilst having breakfast.
Step outside and take in the special setting. The house stands on a green plot right by the lake, from where you’ll be treated to a magnificent panoramic view of islands, the archipelago and the jetties of the boat club. Take a seat on the picnic bench beneath the tall trees, watch the boats and soak up the peaceful atmosphere on the lakeshore.
Afterwards, explore the wooded surroundings of Åsensbruk. Keep an eye out for moose on your wanderings and, depending on the season, gather berries and edible mushrooms. Visit nearby Håverud and marvel at the famous aqueduct on the Dalsland Canal, where the waterway, road and railway meet. Take a boat trip along the canal system or discover Dalsland’s lake landscape on walks and canoe trips.
