Air-conditioned villa, and incredible sea views. Pool table and table football.

A great week in a family oriented villa. Well equipped. Pool is too small for an adult to swim more than a couple of strokes but a good size for young children and for the whole family to cool off. It would be nice to have some information about the local area, such as good places to eat out etc. Previous reviews have mentioned the steep approach to the property but the owner supplies excellent suggestions and details on the best way to negotiate the bends and to enter the property. Well worth the effoirt for the spectacular views and all the facilities and entertainment options included. The owner was very helpful at all times and even provided some fresh fruit from the garden. We really enjoyed our stay.

This place was just what we needed to escape the cold Canadian winter for a month. Communication was swift and easy with Estibalez who spoke English. We communicated with her father through Google translate when we had questions. The house was charming and quaint with lots of Spanish charm. We only used one of the four bedrooms and thought the bedding and towels could be updated and refreshed. We really appreciated individual room heating especially at night for the few couple of weeks as the temperature dropped when the sun went down. The kitchen was well equipped for all our cooking needs. By the middle of our trip we were taking our meals outdoors to the patio to take in the marvellous views of the sea which was one of the reasons we chose this place. However, the trip up the winding road to get to those views was a little nerve wracking especially when meeting an oncoming car with no place to pass or pull over. You will need a rental car to enjoy this place, just make sure it is a smaller vehicle. You will need it to get into Almunecar for groceries and for day trips to the beaches around. It is well located for day trips to Granada, Nerja, the Caminito del Rey, Ronda and Frigiliana. All in all, this place was most enjoyable and the weather was was perfect for mid February to mid March.

The house is very well equipped and spacious, clean and nicely decorated, with a grand terrace, small pool and a little avocado-strawberry-fig-olive plantation. The landlord was extremely helpful and friendly. People looking for quietness shouldn't book this house because of the national road in front of and the building site of the motorway behind the house.
