Casa Elisa Lipari

Giuseppina's home in Lipari is very special. It sits above the harbor and has a full view of the town and Vulcano in the distance. The house is beautifully decorated; the photos posted in the listing are a true representation of the house. We especially enjoyed the outside covered patio to enjoy our meals and drinks -- the view was stunning. The house has a full size living room and dining area. The kitchen was a plus for us as we could make a light meal and espresso in the morning. A/C worked great but because the weather was so good we opted to open the many windows and all was fine. Plenty of space for two more people (there are two separate bathrooms) but note the upstairs bedroom does not have a door but has some level of privacy. I would not recommend this house for anyone with young children due to its location on the hill. One thing to note, the location offers wonderful views and quiet, but accessibility is somewhat of a challenge. Casa Elisa is accessed only by a narrow, steep paved road that has two very severe hairpin turns. It would be possible to walk up from the main road below but be in very, very good shape. We chose to take a taxi and paid 20 euros for each trip to/from the center of town. It was a bit expensive considering the distance, so figure in the number of trips into your budget. Taxis in Lipari are not cheap and work on a pre-arranged negotiated price. Giuseppina can help arrange taxi service with her friend Debora. I would highly recommend Casa Elisa to anyone who wants a special and unique stay in Lipari.

All was great with the property. The only thing to note is the location as described above but I would not let that be an issue.

The host is very helpful and will answer any questions that you have. The villa is very cosy and the view is breathtaking while having breakfast or dinner at the terrace

If you want to experience a wonderful getaway where you'll feel true Lipari , that’s the place for you. This is a home for those who: Prefer wine in silence, Enjoy reading books while bathing in the sun. Lied down on a beaches like from a postcard. Love listening to cicadas and watching beautiful sea. For people who Appreciate peace and quiet. This is a place where you can quietly relax and recharge like never before. The home is fool of atmospheric, with a beautiful view of the sea and bay, and has two terraces where coffee tastes like never before. From here, you can reach: - wild beaches without crowds - atmospheric taverns serving authentic Italian cuisine - trekking trails with breathtaking views - boat rentals that will take you to fairytale bays - and plenty of places where you can simply... do nothing. If you're dreaming of a reset, total relaxation, and a different kind of Italy, this is it. The Aeolian Islands are a completely different story. The icing on the cake was our host, Giuseppa, who is always ready to help and advise. A marvel. The house is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Cozy, spacious, and equipped with everything you need. From us, I'd also like to add: Taxi is quite expensive. We found an alternative. We arranged with drivers on the beach (White Beach, Coral Beach, etc.) who took us both ways for €30. From the house to the beach and back. For €30, you also get two sunbeds, an umbrella, and unlimited swimming gear. Wonderful. If you get tired of the beach, for €1.30 you can take the URSO bus. The bus also stops on request. The entrance to the house is quite high from the street, but it wasn't a problem for us (about 8 minutes) with a backpacks. After all those sweets, it's even good to burn some calories ;) Giuseppa, if I could give you 100 instead of 10, I would. Thank you.

A very charming and tastefully decorated house, beautifully situated on a hilltop overlooking the Bay of Lipari. The lively village of Lipari is accessible by scooter, car, or even on foot. The hostess is very kind and incredibly helpful.
