About this house rental
Independent vacation home in Ballabio (2 km), about 10 km from Lake Como and 7 km from Lecco.
The place is located in the Sassina Valley, a locality known for its mountains that are part of the Lombard Prealps. The surrounding property is equipped and ideal for outdoor dining. The balcony of your vacation accommodation overlooks the valley, the mountains and the surrounding woods. At Lake Como you can practice water sports such as sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, canoeing. In Ballabio you can find climbing rock walls (Falesia le Torrette and Falesia la Vaccarese) and from there you can easily reach neighboring villages such as Pian delle Betulle, Pian dei Resinelli (visit the mineral park; climbing rock walls).
Two km from the house is the center of Ballabio with supermarket, stores of all kinds, restaurants and cafes. About 7 km away is Lecco, from where you can reach by ferry the beautiful towns of Bellagio, Cernobbio, Como and Varenna.
The parking place (garage box) is about 400 meters from the house. This 400m long road between the garage and the house is uneven and only passable with an off-road vehicle (four-wheel drive). The owner offers a shuttle service with a four-wheel drive car to transport your luggage from the garage to the house (and vice versa) on arrival and departure day.

Das Haus ist in Wirklichkeit noch schöner als auf den Fotos, wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefüllt. Es ist ca. 400 m von den nächsten Nachbarn entfernt und ca. 2 km von Ballabio. Ab und zu verirrt sich ein Wanderer dorthin. Es war herrlich jeden Morgen das Frühstück auf der Terrasse zu genießen und abends die Ruhe und den Sternenhimmel. Der Vermieter ist auch sehr nett, wir haben uns gut verstanden. Das Haus ist, wie beschrieben, nicht mit jedem Auto zu erreichen, ein Geländewagen ist hier von Vorteil. Ein gutes Schuhwerk ist hier zu empfehlen, da der Weg zum Teil steil und steinig ist. Von unserer Seite kein Kritikpunkt, da wir gerne wandern und es wurde auch in der Hausbeschreibung erwähnt. Zu dem Haus gehört ein etwas oberhalb gelegener, fantastischer Grillplatz. Dazu gehört ein gemauerter Grill, in dem man auch Feuer machen kann, sowie zwei Tische (ein Foto in der Hausbeschreibung wäre hier empfehlenswert). Was in der Beschreibung auch fehlt, im Haus befinden sich 2 Liegen für die Sonnenanbeter. Wir wussten es nicht und haben eigene Liegen mitgebracht, deswegen erwähnen wir das jetzt.
Wir haben unseren Hund dabei gehabt. Es war herrlich, Tür auf, Hund raus, ein Traum. Können wir jedem, der Urlaub mit Hund machen möchte diese Unterkunft wärmstes empfehlen.
Wir haben hier eine wunderschöne Zeit verbracht. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Wer Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sucht, für den ist das wunderschöne traditionelle Steinhaus in den Bergen über Ballabio genau das Richtige! Das Haus bietet allen Komfort, einen Holzofen und Kamin für die kalten Tage sowie eine tolle Sonnenterrasse, Balkon und Grillplatz für die schönen Tage. Das alles mit einem unvergleichlichen Ausblick über das Tal bis hin zum See nach Lecco.
