The host was nice and helpful. The apartment is spacious and airy, spotlessly clean. The kitchen has everything you'd need, and then some (with a notable exception of an absent dishwasher). The apartment is located in the very center of Blankenburg Old Town. The view from the windows is fabulous! Due to the shape of the building you get the windows facing all four directions. There is a supermarket within 5 minutes' walk from the apartment. Slightly further off is a bus stop with numerous connections to nearby towns and villages.

Pillows were terrible: both too hard AND too thick. Free WiFi is slow and unstable. The kitchen has no dishwasher. Water pressure in the pipes is low, so getting a right temperature in the shower is tricky (but possible).

The apartment is very clean and very big, it has a lot of utilities for a comfortable stay. The rooms are clean and every room has its own mirror with a table and a chair. Perfect for the ladies. Two of the bedrooms are big enough to use as a livingroom. The bathroom is big and very clean as well. The owner is a very friendly fellow. He owns the restaurant bellow. It’s a Bulgarian restaurant with very nice Balkan food. The food is exactly like I remember from a trip through the Balkans. (You do not hear any noise from the restaurant though.) The owner and the apartment are really great, I have been to a lot of places, I would certainly recommend this if you are looking for a calm and remote place to stay.
