The School House

Every once and a while you come across a gem of a property, over the years I have stayed at the Park Royal and Premier Inn in Stretton, but this time I saw the reviews of the Old School House and thought why not! Needless to say there will be no more staying in a bland, non-descript hotel chain, when there amazing B&B places like this to rest your weary head at night. The Old School house is a lovely building, with spotlrssly clean rooms and onsuites, fitted out with period furniture and antiques, to bring back memories of your childhood of a bygone era. Helen's breakfast was cooked with love, laid out on a table for 8, with everything set out perfectly. So if passing through Stretton, look directly opposite the Cat and Lion Hotel and you shall find this gem of a property (The Old Schoolhouse) and a hostess who will make you feel you have been part of the property forever.

The only critique is the car parking, large enough for four medium size cars, otherwise you need to use the Cat and Lion car park acrosd the road.

Hosts were amazing, very nice and welcoming I couldn’t recommend the school house enough!

Rooms can be loud (thin walls) but it’s to be expected.

It's a location thing. Not much else local to where I needed to be the next day.

I had a front room, which is lovely and comfy, but there is a lot of road noise, something I'm not use to. Couldn't have the window open, so the room was hot. 2 fans supplied.. Car park is tight but enough room for 6 medium to small cars. Big SUV and it will be tigh
