About this villa rental
Our house " Casa dos Pinheiros", completed in Summer 2006, is a modern, air-conditioned single-storey villa in true Portuguese style. Set on top of a hill with excellent views of the medieval town of Obidos, the sea and the world’s largest natural lagoon leading to the sea. The house is situated in the lovely village of Capeleria only 45 minutes drive from the airport at Lisbon. Fully air-conditioned/heated. The house has four bedrooms which sleep eight comfortably, including a cot and high chair for the little ones. Two bathrooms, one en-suite and one with a bath & shower. With a living accommodation comprising a lounge, dining area, kitchen with breakfast bar and utility room along with a 12m x 5m heated infinity swimming pool and large terrace with BBQ. Set in 6500 square meters of gardens and orchard with peach and plum trees. Perfect for families and friends, peaceful amidst spectacular panoramic views, 10 mins drive to beaches, 15 min walk or 5 min drive from medieval World Heritage walled town & castle of Obidos with annual Christmas, Medieval, chocolate and opera festivals, fado & tapas bars, 'Pingo Doce' supermarket and public indoor swimming pool. Villa extremely well equipped, table footie, basketball net, SKY, DVD player, Freesat TV/radio, WIFI, BBQ etc.. a truly stunning property.

The house was comfortable and spacious. The pool was large and afforded spectacular views across the valley to Óbidos and the lagoa.
The beds were comfortable. The kitchen has everything you could need, including facilities to cook for a large group.
We enjoyed using the BBQ and helping ourselves to the fruit from the trees.
On soggy, cold or windy days the pool table and table tennis were extremely welcome.
Great location to explore the local area and base for surfing in nearby Peniche.
Usseira has an excellent and friendly restaurant, Poço do sabores, in walking distance. The local restaurant is ok but unfriendly.

This was our second visit to Casa dos Pinheiros and just as lovely as last time. Our hosts could not have been more helpful in providing information for our stay. The house is spacious and very well equipped including the pool/table tennis table which was very popular! We were a group of grandparents, adult children and grandchildren and the house and garden gave us plenty of space to be together, or to find a place to read a book in peace from time to time. The pool area is lovely with stunning views down to the sea and Obidos lagoon. Obidos is a short drive away with shops to mooch around, coffee and pastel de nata as a treat and the lovely castle and walls - plenty to keep the children occupied. The local restaurant was good, excellent value and very accommodating to children including offering half portions for our granddaughter. All in all, a lovely holiday.

Fabulous villa, immaculate and extremely well equipped with everything you need for a family. The pool is large for a villa and very well maintained. The views down to Obidos are amazing. We absolutely loved it as we prefer places a bit off the beaten track. If you want to be within walking distance of lots of restaurants and bars, this isn’t the place for you. If you are happy to BBQ the lovely local fish and walk to the restaurant down the road for dinner from time to time, it’s perfect. Obidos is only a 5-7 minute drive away for lunch. But please don’t come here, because we want to keep this gem to ourselves.!!

Villa was fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay.
Pool was great for the kids (and the dad's!) and they loved the pool toys that were there.
