A really well run German hotel on one of the best beaches in the area. Excellent food, with very nice touches. Very helpful staff. I loved the Spa pool with its shady pavilion particularly, and the lovely planting along some of the paths.

Generally a nice location with staff being friendly and welcoming.
A special Thank you to Sr. Manager Sammy who professionally assisted us when attempting to book F&B venues.
Lots of communication issues; from restaurant bookings to check out and billing.
Facilities would benefit from renovations (a bit dated) and the staff from more a more organized approach to managing daily ops.

Absolutely prime location, the staff are all incredibly polite and helpful, Housekeeping and cleanliness in the entire resort is excellent. The hotel in general is managed very professionally.
Big resort with lot of facilities. Easy access to all.
The food is really first calls at all meals. Congratulation to the executive chef!
I cannot recommend Robinson Khao Lak highly enough! If you are looking for a relaxed holiday in prime location, you should not miss it.
none.

If you stay here, you must do breakfast included and consider half-board (breakfast and dinner). Both are buffet-style and incredible! The dinner especially is amazing - their chefs and staff are phenomenal!
Also consider getting a "Pool Villa Superior" room. They are obviously pricier than a basic room, but the private pool is 100% worth it if you want to indulge. Other "pool" rooms still have their own pool, but face the beach or a general pool and are less private.
There is so much to do with sports activities, a sauna, water sports (kayaking, paddle-board etc), several pools, and a different theme for each night's entertainment. You really have to do archery and the infusion sauna ("no textile")!
The staff are all incredibly polite and helpful, particularly Guest Relations and waitstaff. The level of housekeeping and cleanliness in the entire complex made you feel so relaxed!
I cannot recommend Robinson Khao Lak highly enough! If you are looking for an indulgent and completely relaxed holiday, away from a major town, this is the place for you.

Surrounding is wonderful
Noisy at night with a baby and the shows that go on till 00:00 loud music. A bit impersonal high prices for drinks at the bar if you walk outside and have a drink 1/3 of the price

Beautiful and big territory.
Food is delicious, I guess that kitchen is strong side of this hotel:)
Superior pool villas is very comfortable, I recommend this type of accommodation because you get privacy.
Staff is friendly and helpful.
Animation music after dinner could bother if you like to go sleeping early. But we sleep well anyway, our villa was far from noise.

The room, I stayed in the private pool beachfront bungalow.
The lobby was spacious, the gardens and multiple pools were beautiful and never crowded, the spa was serene.
Some of the lights were not working, the buttons to turn on the private pool's jacuzzi were hidden and not intuitive. Many light switches around the room, one electronic panel with labeling would be perfect.

Beautiful beach but not close to any outside restaurants. The staffs attention to detail was amazing! So thorough.

The hotel is very well-kept for it's age. The staff was always very nice and smiley, the food quality was very good (much better than some other 5-star resorts) and even though we visited during the rainy season, we were able to have fun. The night entertainment was good.
Robinson does not offer an all-inclusive package (the closest they offer is full-board), and having in mind all their food was very good, it would be nice to see a package that also included drinks, although they weren't really expensive for a 5-star resort.

I spent 10 days/nights full-board at Robinson Khao Lak and had a good and relaxing holiday. The meals were very taste with a sufficient choice (with drinks, even alcoholic ones, included for all meals) and prices at the bar very reasonable. Entertainment in the evening included quizzes, bingo, discos/DJs and some bands playing.
Although meals were very good in general, quality was inconsistent in some cases: in the fruit section for instance, the mango pieces were practically tasteless on a couple of days, and in any case still with skin. I had much better tasting mango pieces (without skin) included with my meals in the small hotel I stayed in whilst in Bangkok the days before. Also, only two sorts of yoghurts were available at Robinson for breakfast, a natural one and one 'fruit' yoghurt (that actually contained no fruits but only fruit juice). It would be good if a greater variety of yoghurts could be offered and varied from day to day.
The (almost daily) greeting of the guests by the (German) hotel staff (including the club manager) when entering the restaurant for dinner is in principle a nice gesture, but why with such a serious facial expression. A bit of smile, like all of the Thai staff, would be much more positive here.
I also do not find it very appealing that waste water from the hotel is discharged through some plastic pipes directly onto the beach (notice the blue plastic pipes in the attached photos). Robinson state on their website that they use cleaned and processed waste water to irrigate the gardens on their property, but disposing this amongst the guests on the beach is still another thing. What if I small child drinks from this when they feel thirsty? The water coming out there is certainly no drinking water as the sand near the end of the pipes (where the water was coming out) was clearly discoloured. I any case, these waste water pipes destroy somewhat the general impression of a 'dream beach'.
Lastly, music from the bar area during discos etc. (which was practically every other day) was much too loud and lasted until about midnight. Even though my room was at least 100m away, it was impossible to sleep without ear plugs before midnight on these days.

We have been completely spoilt by this holiday - the food the facilities the activities have all been first class, I don't think it will be possible to have a better experience than what we have just had.
Particular highlights were the golf driving range, the daily Thai boxing classes, and the fitness activities run by Vanessa and her team, including the guest coach Christian who was excellent.
The food was just sensational, and you really get the feeling the Head Chef and his team take great pride in serving up delicious food at all meal times. One day we even had Filet Steak with Lobster.
Any criticisms would be extremely minor, but I have to say the bacon at breakfast was not very good, and the weather was sometimes very rainy, but being the rain season that was to be expected. The hotel has so many activities it really didn't matter if we had a few day's of rain

This hotel has an extensive territory with absolutely gorgeous gardens and trees. Lots of swimming pools and a great beech. We stayed in a pool villa totally surrounded by bushes and trees, so we felt total privacy all the time.
Very delicious food for breakfast with all kind of fresh fruit, Asian and European cousin. And free procession every morning to start your day right!)))

Property is top notch. Lush grounds and stunninggggg beach!! We booked a pool villa last minute so got a great deal! We just lived our stay. It’s mainly German guests but that’s ok. The local restaurant left of the beach i highly recommend, we ate there most nights.
Only negative is that the main bar has a happy hour but the beach bar doesn’t even though they are practically next to each other.
5.0 / 10.0
The atmosphere in the dining hall is not very pleasant, more like an university food dispensing place, only one white and red wine to choose from, loud and hectic atmosphere all around.
The beach chaise lounges are hard to lay on, no padding at all and people smoke in the beach area open and unbothered every day, dropping cigarettes in the sand galore.
We wanted to attend a water jogging class at 11:30 am on 04/15, rain started at 11:25 and the instructor didn’t bother to show or cancel the class at all, the rain stopped 5 minutes later completely and we tried to contact the instructor (Vanessa), unsuccessful and frustrated!
It seems that Robinson KHAO LAK is laking the so well known Thai mentally when it comes to service and friendliness, mediocre customer experience when it comes to hospitality and service quality

Breakfast was great. Food quality good.
I feel breakfast was the same everyday can get a bit boring if staying for a week.
I feel that you should have some type of finger food at the happy hour bar. I know you can order rooms service. But it should have its own menu

This resort is 5 star... there is nothing to want, everything is there.
Staff are incredible and absolutely do everything to make you feel relaxed and pampered to.
Every room is immaculate, the facilities 5 star, entertainment 5 stars, food 5 stars.
There is nothing to want at this resort , it has it all..
We spent 10 nights in beachfront villa , and 2 in a standard double room.
Of course the beachfront villa with private pool was mindblowingly eye candy and so luxurious,..
The standard double room was just as amazing for different reasons.
Doesnt matter where you are in this resort , it is magucal.
Of everywhere l have ever stayed in my life Robinson Khao Lak is hands down 100% THE MOST Beautiful, INCREDIBLE resort l have ever, and probably will ever have the pleasure of staying at..
Thank you so very much much Robinson Khao Lak for making our holiday UNFORGETTABLE in every wonderful way, we LOVED OUR TIME WITH YOU.

Older hotel in a quiet location with an amazing beach. Older, adequate room equipment. All functional. Cleaned every day including changing towels. Nice dining room with a large selection of dishes. Nice pools in beautiful gardens. Nice clean beach. There are two restaurants nearby. The ratio of quality and price is nothing to complain about.
Some rooms could use renovation. Communication with some staff was difficult

Bit outdated rooms.

Facilities and room abit dated, but acceptable.

The Setup of the Ressort is very good, not too long ways. Everything is there in good quality. If you ve not booked full board - no worries there are 3 beach restaurants around. Staff is very friendly. Beach is too. Book it for a few days.
The Ressort is at least 20 years old, still Ok and clean, but you feel it. Beach Towels, Beach Benches are not in best condition. Watch out - End of March it is already very hot, so sea & pool & shower temperature are like outside temperature 🤒 . In comparison to other close Ressorts (Outrigger, Gran M.) I think it is a bit too expensive; it is not a real Robinson Ressort like in other countries.
