Worst hospitality

The location is perfect.

At check in when i tried to check in about 2 hrs earlier than the specified checking in time (3:00pm) I was told that no i can’t do that unless i paid an extra fee which is extremely weird to me because normally this is done normally as a term of good hospitality in the decent hotels . While noting that i was there with my wife and my crying 8 month baby , but the lady at the check in didn’t seem to care specially the lady (Meryam) at the reception, who didn’t treat us with the hospitality we anticipated .

Everything was excellant. The room was exceptional. Breakfast catered for every thing you could possible desire. The staff were very attentive and polite at all times. Everywhere in the hotel was immaculatly clean.

Staff were friendly. Nice touch that the bags were up in our room after we dropped them off early. Good communication throughout, great to get the travel pass. Good location.

The room was very hot during the night so we didn't sleep too well. Bath was lovely but sides are high for getting in and out for a shower, a bath mat would have helped it feel safer.

I would not recommend

It was clean and the location was good.

I was so disappointed with this hotel - I would definitely not recommend staying here. First of all, that photograph in the pictures is a private suite... there is not rooftop for anyone else in the hotel. But the worst part of the stay was that my room was incredibly stuffy and warm even though it was cold outside! Two staff members came to check it out, agreed it was unbearable, and recommended asking reception for help, and reception told me that all they could do was bring in a fan. They said that since there were no available rooms similar to the one I booked, there was nothing else they could do - I was shocked they wouldn't just give me a bigger room given the discomfort of the original. They then agreed to move me into a similar, different room the following morning, so I packed all my things so the staff could shift them over as agreed - and once I got home at night, I found out they hadn't done so. By that point, all the rooms were taken again, meaning I couldn't relocate. I was working the entire week so coming home to a stuffy, warm hotel room exhausted was brutal. My shower was also broken, and you could only shower with the lower faucet as opposed to the actual shower head. Overall, not a pleasant stay.

Don't accept a room with a single bed - they are impossibly uncomfortable and you won't sleep.

The staff are very pleasant. The room is clean and well-appointed and the public spaces clean and well-ordered.

The bed!! I had asked for a double but only single beds were available. This was not a problem as I was on my own. However- the single beds in this hotel are 90cm wide. I travel extensively and have never been in 4* hotel in Europe where the beds are not 130cm wide. Also the mattress on the single bed is a disaster - its exceptionally thick so 'wobbles' on the base when you lie on it.

Appalling service

Our experience at this hotel was marked by poor organization and unprofessional conduct. We booked three rooms and were sent to two separate buildings without explanation. We were told the rooms would be ready and waited an hour before being allowed to check in, only to find that one of the rooms still wasn’t ready upon arrival, which was strange. Staff also claimed our luggage had been distributed to the correct rooms, but all bags were left in one and we had to handle it ourselves although rooms in different buildings. When we raised this at reception, there was no apology, just a dismissive, “What do you want me to do?” Service declined further. A valet shouted and insulted me. The next day, a waiter ignored a simple room service request. When I followed up, he was taunting, offensive, and extremely unprofessional. He lied directly to my face. Reception confirmed he had received the request and written it on a Post-it, then chose to ignore it. When confronted, he responded with, “I don’t have a problem, do you?” and then refused to continue speaking in English. Service in the restaurant was also consistently poor, slow, inattentive, and dismissive. I rarely write reviews, but this needed to be said. I travel frequently, and this was a business trip during which we also held an event at the hotel. The level of unprofessionalism we experienced was not only frustrating but frankly embarrassing in front of colleagues and clients. If anyone from management genuinely cares to follow up or improve service, I’m happy to provide the names of those involved. If you’re looking to pay to be lied to, taunted, and treated with open disrespect, this hotel will deliver. Otherwise, I strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

The 4 stars hotel in Switzerland, Geneva with hidden agenda

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the heden agenda. We booked a week-long stay at a four-star hotel, but we were informed that only the rooms are cleaned once a week. When we inquired about this policy, the staff member who provided us with the information did not provide a clear explanation. We spent thirty minutes searching for the specific policy regarding room cleaning, but we were unable to locate it. One of the staff members attempted to locate it, but they found it hidden in a small paragraph about room cleaning in a four-star hotel. This policy should be prominently displayed in a visible location to ensure that all guests are aware of it. Furthermore, we were offered a similar package that includes daily home cleaning, but we were informed at the reception that we could not change this policy once we had paid for our stay. This is a contradiction, as we initially requested the daily home cleaning service.

It was okay.

It’s a good location - short work to the lake and also the eateries. It is not lake front though - but I am sure they charge a premium for that! Rooms were fine.

The staff made us wait for almost an hour for checking-in which was almost unbelievable- everything was slo-mo. Then he gave us our room keys and when we entered the room, another couple was relaxing there. It was extremely embarrassing and later the staff realized they had not blocked the room given to someone else - it’s kind of mistake that I don’t think hotels make but it did happen and it wasn’t nice. So we waited again at the lobby and then they gave us another room. Apart from that, rooms are very tiny.
