Situation excellent, quiet, rural. Good for Honfleur etc. Description of house not good. No walk in /under shower. Shower attachment/on bath has no where to hang it on wall and no grab rails for more elderly residents. Stairs which have turn and no handrail difficult for more mature people. Only toilet in cupboard under stairs so difficult for taller people. No dishwasher.Proprietor friendly and lives in the other part of the house Automatic lawnmower quite a distraction!

A property full of character tucked away in the Normandy countryside.

We fell in love with the look of the property on the website and when we arrived it lived up to all of our expectations. The property is located a short drive from Honfleur, sadly its not safe to walk there due to the lack of pavements but that didn't cause us too many problems. We were also in easy reach of Deauville and Trouville and the surrounding villages. The village doesn't have too much on offer but we found plenty of options for eating out within a short distance. Stephanie gave us some recommendations which we tried and we were delighted with them. "Bon Thé Bonheur " in Touques was our favourite. The property had everything we needed, sadly we couldn't enjoy the garden more due to the weather but we could see the potential in the warmer months. The property has lots of extra touches that make you feel very welcome and other than taking my own teabags we didn't want for anything. The kitchen is fully equipped and if you wanted to do your own cooking you could. The house was very warm and cosy, a little too warm for us at times, we didn't need to wear any extra layers whilst indoors. We would recommend this property if you are looking for a base to explore, we hope to be able to return again soon.

We were met by the owners who live in the main part of the house. They had kindly left little treats a bottle of cider, tea, coffee water, biscuits and sweets. The house is gorgeous and very large even for the three of us. It's down a quiet country lane and has a lovely big garden with a plunge pool. The town has a supermarket, tabac pizza parlour. Boulangerie and upmarket off licence but unfortunately no restaurant or bar. Nonetheless there are many restaurants in and around honfleur. We have a dog and found the roads around the house itself were so little used we let him off the lead. The owners were helpful and hospitable. Lovely place will return

My wife and I (both in our 70’s) stayed here for 10 days in June 2019. First of all, Stephanie and her husband Cyril were very welcoming and helpful. They have a beautiful property, rich in history, and it was a lovely place to be based. Nearby Honfleur is charming. There are so many really nice restaurants available with lots of fish dishes on offer. My wife and I sampled the oysters at the Wednesday morning craft market; we loved them. The house was very comfortable and very well-furnished. There was everything you could hope for. Thankyou Stephanie and Cyril, for making our holiday unforgetable

From the minute you meet the host you feel welcomed and as if you are in luxury accomodation. Great facilities and everything you need it provided. It feels like you are in a home if your own. We had our adult daughter and had a room each and lots of space and tranquility. We only stayed a night but would be a great location to stay for a few nights and go explorjng the different nearby sights. Highly recommend this place.

We really enjoyed our holiday. The accommodation is very quiet area as the house is situated in a narrow side street. Within walking distance there is a bakery and a large supermarket is about 3 minutes away by car. The villa is very clean. Living room, kitchen and bathroom are on the ground floor and the sleeping room on the upper floor. The kitchen is well equipped, including oven and microwave. We really enjoyed the little presents such as tea bags, coffee, shampoo, sweets, flowers, and even a bottle of Cider at our arrival. Also a washing machine is available and the WIFI is working perfectly. The hosts are living in the same house and are very friendly and helpful. They immediately make you feeling at home. We can really recommend this accommodation.

Quelle maison de caractère normande! Cette ancienne presse à cidre avec des poutres en chêne et des planchers en bois est très bien meublée et équipée. Le salon et la chambre donnent sur un beau jardin avec des cerisiers et des pommiers - un endroit pour profiter du soleil. Nous sommes restés deux semaines en juin et avons trouvé l'endroit idéal pour se rendre aux attractions à Honfleur et aussi plus loin, comme Caen, les plages de Normandie, Etretat et Rouen. Mais ce qui a rendu notre séjour encore plus agréable était nos hôtes. Ils étaient attentionnés, amicaux et très utiles pour nous. Nos remerciements à M et Mme Lefebvre. Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances ici et je le recommande vivement.

We spent two beautiful weeks in this lovely spotles house, Stephanie, Cyril and their 2 very charming children were the most perfect hosts. The gite itself was just lovely, they had thought of everything, the area in which the gite was situated was just perfect, near to wonderful Honfleur but so handy for everything else. This house is perfectly located to explore the many beautiful villages of the Normandy countryside. It is also within a 5 minute drive of Honfleur, a picturesque village on the ocean and directly across from the busy port of Le Havre. The house itself is as pictured, a very good size, well equipped and well suited to a couple or a family of 4 or 5. The owners are wonderful people, very warm and welcoming and they made our stay quite enjoyable. We spent a week in May and already miss the peace and quiet of this beautiful property.

My husband and I stayed here at this lovely house on our last leg of our France trip! I am so glad we did!!! It was so peaceful yet so close to the town of Honfleur. We were in a quiet neighborhood that was perfect. Stephanie was a wonderful host to us who made sure all our needs were met. The house was quite large with enough room to accomodate many more than the two of us. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and the outside garden was beautiful!!! There was a pastry shop in Equemauville (seriously right down the road) that put every other pastry shop in France to shame. Absolutely the best thing we ate on our trip! Honfleur was only 5 minutes away. It has shopping galore and lots of good restaurants. We did the Saturday market there and bought fresh fish right off the boat. I could have stayed here longer, but alas, it was time to go home. Thank you Stephanie for a wonderful end to a wonderful vacation!!!

Wonderful house five minutes from Honfleur

The house was great, all the rooms were big and comfortable. We were five and it was perfect for us. The kitchen was very comfortable and we had wonderful meals there! The garden is impressive and we enjoyed it whenever we were at the house. Stephanie was a great guest and we spent our last evening with her and her family having wonderful food and drinks from the area.It was a very convenient place to stay, close to many important places in Normandy so we chose it as our base. Form there, apart from Honfleur that was so close, we visited Rouen, the D Day beaches and Etretat. There are many small little towns worth visiting, too, while staying at Stephanie's house. We recommend it, and we will certainly return when we go to Normandie again. Thank you, Stephanie!

Sehr freundlicher Kontakt zu den Vermietern, die in dem größeren Teil des Hauses wohnen. Sehr sauber, alles vorhanden. Zu Fuß Bäckerei in wenigen Minuten, mit dem Auto Supermarkt in wenigen Minuten und Honfleur in ca. 10 Minuten erreichbar. Sehr ruhige Straße (eher wie in einer Schrebergartensiedlung) Für Hundebesitzer: Der Hund darf im Garten sein Geschäft verrichten. Besser: Aus dem Haus nach links zu Fuß in zwei Minuten eine „Gassi“-Strecke. Oder: Mit dem Auto in knapp 10 Minuten zum Waldparkplatz „Parking de la foret de Breuil“ (siehe Google Maps); dort schöne Wanderwege. Es gibt 1 Badezimmer mit Sitzbadewanne (ohne Duschvorhang); Schlauch ist jedoch lange genug zum Duschen. 1 sehr kleines WC unter der Treppe mit eingeschränkter Kopffreiheit, ohne Waschbecken, ohne Fenster, ohne Entlüftung. Treppe nach oben führt unter einem Balken durch (eingeschränkte Kopffreiheit). Für 5 Personen unseres Erachtens zu klein, da man die Couch im Wohnzimmer ausziehen muss, dann kaum noch Platz hat und die Sitzmöglichkeit entfällt. Der Parkplatz neben dem Eingang ist mit 2,40 Meter Breite extrem eng, macht mehrfaches rangieren erforderlich. Das Haus hat Einfachverglasung und ist bauartbedingt kühl. Der TV ist ein PC-Monitor. Resümee: Für diejenigen, für die die Einschränkungen nicht entscheidungsrelevant sind, ist das Haus zu empfehlen, da es sehr günstig liegt und ein gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis hat. Deswegen 4 Punkte.

Wie haben fast 2 Wochen bei Stéphanie und ihrer Familie verbracht und haben uns von Beginn an sehr wohl gefühlt. Stépanie und ihr Mann haben uns herzlich willkommen geheißen und standen uns mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Das Haus ist liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet und es fehlt an rein gar nichts. Alles war super sauber und komplett, incl Bettwäsche und Handtüchern. Stéphanie hatte es sich nicht nehmen lassen auch einen Willkommensgruß in Form von Cidre ; kleinem Gebäck und Tee- und Cafesorten bereitzustellen. Es war ein sehr erholsamer und ruhiger Urlaub, abseits vom Trubel, denn das Haus liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße. Der große Garten und der schöne Sitzplatz hinter dem Haus luden zur Entspannung ein. Sollten wir die Normandie wieder einmal besuchen würden wir diese Unterkunft wieder wählen, denn wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt . Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es im Ort: eine tolle Bäckerei, kleine Törtchen, Chouquette und Macarons sind hervorragend und der Supermarkt ist gut sortiert. Familie Cappel mit Hund Elvis

Das hübsche Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Gerade mit Kindern war der Aufenthalt toll. Es gab einen Hochstuhl, Wickelunterlage, Absturzgitter fürs Bett und vieles mehr. Im Garten gibt es eine Rutsche, Schaukel und Trampolin. Bettwäsche und Handtücher sind vorhanden. Das WLAN war gut. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich. Ein Bäcker ist gleich um die Ecke und der Supermarkt ist auch nah dran. Die nahgelegene Stadt Honfleur ist sehr hübsch zum bummeln und hat viele Restaurants. Unser Aufenthalt hat uns sehr gefallen.
