Friendliness and helpfulness of staff. The manager was super helpful sorting out taxi back to the airport and taking us personally to a venue when a taxi cancelled on us. Excellent quality food - some of the best pasta dishes we'd eaten during our trip. Large comfortable pool area with bar. Fantastic views over the sea and to Etna. Beautiful gardens. Nearness to some great vineyards.

If you don't have a car, it's not possible to access anywhere easily. You are very reliant on taxis or staying at the property, which however, was very enjoyable and relaxing.

The hotel was very peaceful and had lovely grounds and views.

Everything was exceptional. 10/10! Francesco, the manager is truly great! The rooms are lovely and fully equipped and the ambience is truly amazing all across the property. Will definitely return! The breakfast is great and has a vast variety of fresh food options.

Absolutely nothing.

Tale is a beautiful property in a stunning location at the foot of Mount Etna, with breathtaking views of both the volcano and the sea. The pool is fantastic, we spent an entire day relaxing and swimming. We visited in June, and it was still really peaceful, often feeling as though we had the place to ourselves. The facilities are excellent throughout, and the breakfast did not disappoint. It was very hot during our stay, but our room in the annex building stayed pleasantly cool with good air conditioning.

We had a few unfortunate communication issues during our stay at Tale. We booked two nights specifically because we were looking forward to dining at the award-winning restaurant on both evenings. Unfortunately, we were never informed that the restaurant would be closed for the entire duration of our stay, which was a major disappointment. Prior to arrival, the hotel also confirmed via Booking.com that they could arrange an Etna tour with pickup from the property. Upon arrival, it turned out this was not possible. Overall, it felt like the hotel was understaffed during our visit. There was a wedding immediately after our stay, and it seemed much of the team's attention was focused on preparing for that. Given the price point, we expected a more seamless experience and better communication. Our other disappointment was the room in the annex building. The walls were extremely thin, and we could hear our neighbors talking and even snoring throughout the night. If you're a light sleeper, I would definitely avoid staying in that part of the property.
