About this villa rental
Villa del Sole is located in the rocky and wild west coast of Akrotiri Cape, just 14km away from the picturesque city of Chania and 1.5km away from the sandy beach. It is built 25m from the sea surface and offers a breathtaking view of the sea, the north coast of Chania Prefecture and the imposing mountain range of Lefka Ori. As the sun falls the sky is painted red and the city lights begin to turn on, offering a magnificent view.
Villa del Sole is a three storey building of 300sq.m. The main entrance door opens to the middle floor and to an L shape cosy area that consists of the sitting and the formal dining area. The fully equipped kitchen is separated from the dining area by a bar. The huge French doors offer an amazing view from every point of this area. A WC is also found on the same floor. Three of the five bedrooms of the villa are found on the upper floor – one double and two twin. All bedrooms have balconies and the double one has an en suite bathroom. One more bathroom, a small sitting area and an utilities room complete this floor.
The lower floor of the villa comprises of a spacious living room with a sitting area and a second dining set, one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom. Both bedrooms have access to the garden. There is one more entrance door at this floor that opens to the living area.
On the 50000 sq.m fenced and coastal property where the villa is built there are more than 600 palm trees, a vineyard and melon patches. If you stroll in the garden you will see the farm animals and if you are lucky, the peacocks that live in the property. You can ask the owner to give you some fresh eggs from the chickens. A downhill road leads to the sea, where a private, smooth boat ramp is fount. The sea is deep but the access to it is very easy. Around the 40sq.m pool there are sunbeds and next to the pool there is a barbecue. A basketball court is also found in the property.

Communication with the owner during our stay was excellent. The location of this villa with its specular views is exceptional. The pool is lovely and the villa spacious. The nearby monastery was lovely to visit. We got a 7 seater into Chania Harbour for a meal one night which was great, but mostly we cooked at the villa as a family. The villa is across 3 floors, so there are quite a lot of stairs and the bathrooms have baths with hand showers (rather than walk-in showers) - although this was fine for us, it may not suit people with limited mobility. Good air-conditioning, plenty of fridge space, easy parking, little path down to a private jetty for swimming (on calm-sea days). I would recommend this villa and Crete x

Huge 'wow ‘ on arrival , stunning view and so spacious . All couples had own rooms and balconies but we all ended up in the pool area most evenings enjoying views and company .
Only downside ( but wouldn’t stop us returning) is that it’s quite rural and had to rely on taxis ,also no walk in showers ,but overall amazing we had a truly amazing holiday ,gorgeous sunsets ,wonderful pool area ,two reception areas ,great air con and wi fi yes it was great 😊

We’ve just got back from a wonderful two weeks in this property.
The property is immaculate and the views are simply stunning. The pictures on the website are accurate. Everything in the property is modern and a lot of it looks like new.
You need a car…there are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive…..and so many beaches to explore - Chanda is approx a 30 minute drive.
Nikos, the owner, is so communicative - we messaged as we were arriving at the property, he checked everything was ok an hour later, left a welcome pack of food/drink….whenever I messaged him he was instantly responding. We had one problem where we had a power cut (the whole area) and Nikos was in touch with the suppliers to find out what the problem was and when it would be fixed - it was only a couple of hours but having someone finding out and giving us accurate information took any frustration out of the situation.
A truly beautiful villa, perfect for getting away from it all.

We stayed 2 weeks in Nikos' house. The location is exceptional with a breathtaking view. You are at the best place to have your morning coffee with a view and to watch sunsets.
We' ve found everything we needed inside the house. Nikos is always available if you need advices.
It was the best holidays we've ever had. We look forward to go back as soon as possible.
