Wonderful stay with many activities.

Nice break in green location

The location is nice and clean, nearby the lake and the forest. Very quit. A lot of activities for children, enough to be busy for few days. Free indoors swimming pool, quite modern and clean. The house booked for 4 had towels and linens only for 2 persons, but we were prepared and had our own linens and towels for other guests. Also nice to have dishwasher capsules and paper towels. Property provides soap, dry shampoo, one sponge, one trash bag and one dishwasher capsule, salt, pepper. Kitchen appliance, cleaning equipment, drying rack for clothes were in order. Heating works even during the summer season. Parking is very close to the house.

No internet and very poor mobile connection. The lake has no beach, and due to the bad water quality other water activities were prohibited, so take it in account planning midsummer vacation. The property is 'tired', the armchair was greasy, freezer door was broken.

Horrible

Uitzicht

The bed was horrible, the lake was forbidden to swim in because of a bacteria and they didnt even tell us. We had to look it up ourselfs. There are stray cats everywhere and the cabin was dirty and with a leak. The neighbours were also very loud till around 01:00 in the night with music and partys. Even when the site told us it must be quiet at 22:00. When we went to the reception to tell the staff what was wrong, they just didnt care and told us that it was the best option if we just left.

The most unpleasant customer service

The view to the lake was beautiful.

It is clearly indicated in the description of the cottage that guests benefit from an access to pool AND SPA. In our voucher it was marked that we only get access to the pool. So we were victims of false marketing. When we indicated this to the reception staff, the lady who worked there was very unfriendly and very unhelpful. She didn't try to correct the situation in any kind of way. She said that there is nothing she can do, as we are guests via Booking.com. She also said that Madame Vacances does not write their own description on Booking.com site, which I believe must be a plain lie. What was funny about this situation is that when we arrived to the spa we heard that the access would cost only 3,6e per person for resort guests. We were four, so this was question of 14,40e. We of course paid it. I have contacted Booking's customer service and told about this situation - I want this 14,40e back, because for me this is a matter of principle. You can not advertise a service that is not included. The receptionist should have given me a refund or some kind of compensation directly. Madame Vacances has not taken any action within the 48h that Booking.com gave them to give an answer to my complaint and refund request. For me this is unacceptably bad customer service. We paid over 300€ a night and didn't even get the 14,40 euros worth access to spa that was promised. I would also recommend everybody to read the small print carefully. The price of the accomodation does not even cover bedsheet and towels. That costs an extra of 15 euros per person. The price doesn't cover cleaning either, you have to clean yourself. It doesn't cover TV neither. There's a TV in the living room, but if you want to use it and get the remote control, you have to pay 9 euros extra per night. So ridiculous!!

Nice and relaxing stay

The location is amazing, cottages are spacious and cozy. There is always somewhere to relax even tho the place was very crowded in the weekend and a vast choice of leisure activities you can do in the area. My dogs loved it and had so much fun.

Unfortunately we got the farthest cottage from the lake, just at the entrance of the park, with no lake view and a lot of people and cars going back and forth. The price for the stay was fine but almost nothing is included except for the entrance to the swimming pool: WiFi, TV etc have a daily surcharge.

Quiet retreat perfect for all occassions

It is located in a quiet area, with beautiful views. We got a larger room than originally ordered, which was well appreciated. The activities around are fantastic. Swimming pool, laser tag, SUP, sailing, mountain biking, running, swings and slides, bouncy castle, wood carving etc etc. In all honesty perfect destination when with families of all ages. Staff is very friendly. Social distancing is well observed.

The houses are a bit dated. Not all houses view the lake.

The sofa bed provided in the cottage is not suitable for sleeping. They do provide mattress then you need to figure out were to place. Check in check out times are inconvenient. You would check in at 5pm check out at 10am simply missing a day. Several activities in the resort only swimming pool is included in the booking price.

Great for a relaxing and quiet holiday time, excellent for walking or cycling.

Small campingshop (including bread for the morning) and some other shops (e.g. restaurants etc.) on walking distance from challet (5-10 minutes walking). Very nice area, including lots of forest and a lake with many activities (no swimming allowed though). Perfect for our week holiday.

We had an eight-person chalet with four. This was perfect for the size of the accomodation, six would probably have fit as well, eight definitely not. Also, WiFi costs 20 euros per week and is very slow (this seems unreal in 2020 ;) ).

Dommage que les points négatif ont impacté autant notre séjour

Nous avons aime l’endroit qui est vraiment magnifique et la piscine.

Nous avons été déçus par les logements, qui étaient mal équipés et peu propres. De plus, notre logement ne fermait pas correctement, ce qui posait un réel problème de sécurité : une personne devait rester en permanence à l’intérieur. Par ailleurs, nous avons rencontré un autre problème important : il a neigé et l’établissement n’a pris aucune mesure (absence de sel, aucun déneigement). Les surfaces étaient extrêmement glissantes, ce qui a entraîné des chutes. Nous avons également été retardés pour quitter les lieux en voiture, la route n’ayant pas été dégagée. Malgré nos demandes d’aide, personne n’est intervenu.

Déception par la vue et le manque d animation !

La piscine incluse dans le prix mais eau de piscine froide. Le poêle à bois.

Mobilier des années 70. Tv payante (9€ par jour), et wifi (5€par jour) alors que 3*! ! Manque d’équipements (ciseaux, aspirateur, brosse Wc) frigo de camping pour cottage de 6 personnes. Très déçus de la vue sur les toits des autres cottages, et non le lac comme vu sur l’annonce des photos. Commerces du cœur de station fantômes ( fermés), éclairage absent. On se croirait dans une ville fantôme !

Le lieu est calme et reposant, séjour hors période de vacances, une belle vue sur le lac du Val Joly, les gites sont sympathiques, la literie était confortable, j'étais seule pour un lit de 140, çà passe Mais je n'ai manqué de rien et le lieu m'a convenu

le séjour m'a convenu, par expérience de mes nombreux déplacements, les gites sont parfaits, l'intérieur et les équipements demanderaient à prendre une touche de modernité, passez sur un plus grand lit, et rafraîchir le tout.

Séjour super agréable au cœur d’un parc et un lac avec la possibilité d’avoir de nombreuses activité

Super centre touristique avec piscine spa sauna Maison des sports nautiques et plein d’autres activités à faire en famille ou en solo.il y a de nombreuses boutiques et restaurants. Situé au cœur d’un grand parc avec un grand lac. La station touristique du Valjoly est super agréable.

Prachtige locatie aan het meer om te verblijven, helaas was onze cottage aan een renovatiebeurt toe.

We hadden een huisje met redelijk uitzicht op het meer, er lag slechts 1 huisje voor ons. Het huisje had gelukkig wel een heel fijn overdekt balkon, zodat we veel buiten konden zitten, helaas op een zeer goedkope rechte plastic stoel. De bedden waren wel goed, slapen ging gelukkig prima. De wandeling naar het centrum met alle faciliteiten was een leuke wandeling langs het meer. Daar waren redelijke terrasjes en restaurantjes, sommige met beperkte openingstijden, zelfs nu in het hoogseizoen. Het zwembad was een mooi zwembad, helaas met niet al te vriendelijk personeel.

Het meubilair in het huisje was werkelijk bedroevend, de oude rechte stoelen zijn al meerdere jaren aan vervanging toe. Wij hadden cottage G13 en ik vermoed dat daar een welwillende, niet handige klusser aan het werk is geweest. De "kast" had slechts een halve schuifdeur, zodat je altijd óf uitzicht had op de de stofzuiger óf op de schaars aanwezige pannen en onafgewerkte planken. De keukenkastjes zaten héél hoog, voor de bovenste plank (waar de borden en glazen stonden) moest je op een stoel gaan staan, die helaas al wiebelig was. Het keukenraam was zeer amateuristisch gerepareerd, had wel een insecten hor, maar kon niet open, want het raam was met hoekijzers dichtgeschroefd. De badkamer voldeed, het toilet was aan een opknapbeurt toe en de laminaatvloer vertoonde op elke naad forse beschadigingen. Kortom: OUWE MEUK!
