Review: I recently stayed here and was thoroughly impressed by the value and the "home away from home" atmosphere. It is clear that the new management has put significant effort into making this a welcoming place for travelers. Location & Accessibility The location is absolutely perfect. You are right in the middle of town, within easy walking distance of the centre and extremely close to the waterfront. For those wanting to explore the wider area, it’s close to bus routes (great for getting to Llyn Ogwen), and I found parking to be very easy and convenient on the street. The Property & Atmosphere Unlike a sterile hotel, this feels like coming home to a fully furnished apartment. The house is spacious, warm, and feels very safe with good security and locks. Common Areas: There is a large, comfortable living room and a tidy garden that is lovely for sitting in the sun. Kitchen: A standout feature is the fully equipped kitchen. It has everything you need—fridge, washing machine, crockery, and utensils—making it perfect for self-catering. Cleanliness: The property was very clean and tidy throughout; it actually smelt lovely as soon as I walked in. The Room I stayed in a comfortable room that was clean, spacious, and cosy. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the room was warm. I really appreciated the fresh towels and bedding. The bathroom facilities were good, with a powerful shower and unlimited hot water. Management & Service The owners/management are wonderful—super lovely, communicative, and supportive. They have streamlined the check-in process (which can be done independently), but are also available within minutes if you need help. They provided great local travel advice, explained the lock system clearly, and even left welcoming touches like tea, coffee, and milk. It really felt like I was being taken care of. Good to Know It is a traditional house, so it has some character!

The house is definitely showing its age. While it’s clean, the decor is quite dated and feels a bit "tired" in places (some flimsy fixtures like curtain rods and old carpets). The biggest issue, honestly, is the noise. Because it’s an old house with wooden floors, the soundproofing is non-existent. You can hear absolutely everything—footsteps, doors closing, and conversations in other rooms. If you are a light sleeper, you 100% need to bring earplugs. Also, be aware that you are sharing one small bathroom with the whole house. It can get a bit tricky in the morning if the house is full. Finally, if you need to work, the Wi-Fi was a bit hit-and-miss; it was okay for browsing but struggled with video calls during the day. Verdict: If you can look past the creaky floorboards and the shared bathroom, it’s great value for money. It’s clean, convenient, and the owner really cares, but it’s definitely more "homely guest house" than "modern hotel." Pros: Location, cleanliness, kitchen facilities, helpful host. Cons: Very noisy/thin walls, one shared bathroom, spotty Wi-Fi, dated decor.

The house is located not far from the coast. It was fully furnished, and I felt like I was coming home. Each of the cozy and comfortably furnished rooms (bathroom, kitchen...) was fully equipped with toiletries, hair dryers, cleaning supplies, dishes, pillows, furniture, etc. The owner guaranteed complete privacy, but when I had a problem, he was there within minutes to help me. (Many thanks from an inexperienced mainland European!) What's more, the owner also provided small information brochures and maps and spontaneously recommended good travel destinations when we met (thank you!!!). I felt really well taken care of, I had all the luxury of a fully furnished apartment, a wonderful landscape that I could reach and explore in a short time, tourist advice, and peace and privacy all in one. I would gladly recommend this hostel and would love to come back!

I wasn't familiar with the lock system in England. Luckily, the owner explained everything to me wonderfully and I was able to learn something new! I'm used to having transparent curtains in front of the windows, so it was a little strange for me to be “visible” during the day (kitchen, living room). Luckily, due to its location, the apartment doesn't offer a direct view into the apartment?

The landlord answered all my questions through the phone and made sure that I feel at home in the property.

Felt very clean. Within walking distance of town centre and also extremely close to waterfront. Comfortable bed. Secure room. Easy to park. Hosts left tea and coffee and milk which was a nice welcoming touch.

Decor felt dated. We could hear the guests in the attic room moving around.
