About this villa rental
Villa Agathe is a 4 bedroom villa that sleeps up to 8 persons and is one of a three villa complex (Alethea, Agathe and Hanna) which are totally independent and private from each other. They are located just outside the small village of Polimarchi which is a couple of kilometres inland from coastal Tavronitis in western Crete. These traditional villas have wonderful panoramic mountain and sea views.
Tourism still remains pretty low key in Tavronitis and the village retains an authentic ambience with very friendly shopkeepers. There are a couple of supermarkets, tavernas and cafes as well as a butcher and a bakery. A local Saturday market in the nearby village of Voukalies will keep you supplied with wonderful fresh, colourful fruit and vegetables, local cheeses and honey. There are 3 or 4 tavernas strung along the pebbly beach which is mostly lined with tamarisk trees. Even in high season you can still find your own space on the beach.
The area also makes an excellent starting point for exploring beautiful western Crete whether your interests be sightseeing, archaeological, driving, water sports, walking, cycling or simply relaxing and enjoying some of the wonderful beaches. A visit to Chania, the region’s capital some 30kms away, is a ‘must’ with its cosmopolitan atmosphere and beautiful Venetian harbour, and also to the nearer lively resort of Platanias, both with an abundance of restaurants, shops and bars and nightlife.

From the main entrance the living room With 2 sofas and the coffee table Welcomes you to the ground floor of the villa. In the living room you fine satellite TV plasma and DVD player a stereo CD player.
In connection of the living room you come to the L shaped kitchen which contains all modern comforts as dishwasher, fridge and freezer as well as electric cooker with ceramic hob and microwave. There you can also find the dinner table with chairs for 8 persons and in the corner the fireplace, for the cold winter days.
The panorama view over the landscaped from the high mountains to the blue sea can be enjoyed from the dinning table as well from the sofa group.
1 bed room with 2 single beds en-suite bath room with hydro massage bath. Safe, SAT TV and DVD player and private balcony with the wonderful view when ever it is early in the morning you can follow the sunrise or late in the afternoon enjoy the peace.
1 bedroom with a double bed, en-suite bathroom with a hydro massage bath, Safe, SAT TV, DVD player and also the possibility to enjoy private moments on the balcony. Next to the staircase is a guest toilet.
Going down the stairs your find the villas 2 other bedrooms, 1 bedroom with 2 singles beds en-suite a bathroom with hydro massage bath and Safe, SAT TV with DVD player, another bedroom with a double bed en-suite the bathroom with hydro massage bath. Both of the bed rooms has sliding doors out to the garden where the view is breathtaking.
The villas are classical style stone built and the landscape lends itself to peace and quiet for perfect relaxation.
