About this villa rental
Akseli villa is situated on a 600 m scenic cape. It is located near a nature reserve with hundreds of islands, which you can reach by boat or by skiing. In the autumn, there are lots of berries and mushrooms around the villa and on the islands. It is ideal for nature trekking in all seasons. Rowing boat, and rubber boat for children, are included in the rent. An outboard motor for rent by 80 euro per week.
Sport ground and sport equipment for instance football, badminton, basket ball, table tennis, darts, boxing punch bag with gloves, swings, petanque, and croquet. There is a separate sauna building with cosy fireplace. Also a grill canopy and a car shelter for 2 cars.
If number of guests is over 8, you will automatically get the guest house next to the main building for up to five sleeping places. If the number of guests is 8 or less, you don't automatically get the guest house, but you can order it, even after your arrival, for 12 €/day. Even if you do not book a guest cabin, it will not be rented to other groups.
The lake: Lake Suontee (or Suonne) is over 30 km in length. The water is pure and crystal clear. The villa is situated by the southern part of Suontee, which is one of the most important areas of lake nature protection in Finland.
Fishing: Angling is free to everybody. For the guests of Akseli, fishing areas are large and you can fish with different kinds of methods. Bring your own equipment. For other types of fishing than angling you need to pay only the general national license (10 €/ week or 24 €/ year) payed easily by online. Local licenses are already paid for you by the host. An ice drill is available for ice angling etc. You can also order fish from local fishermen.

Akseli is the Perfect Place for a vacation far away from other people and stress. The house has everything you might need, incl pizza oven, ping pong, lots of space and trees and water :) everything very tidy, lake awesome. Risto is a perfect host that replies very quick and friendly and has thought of everything… thanks for having us!

Superbly designed and provisioned timber style compound in a serene, lakeside location. Impeccable communications and level of cleanliness provided by owners. This amazing property is immenently suitable for small families as well as extended family groups up to 13 persons. One caveat, if you choose this exquisite property, please take excellent care of it because we expect to enjoy it again in the future! Our 11 family members all agree Akseli is as close as we have found to living in heaven on earth.
