The room was a generous size in one of the old estate buildings with a huge ensuite shower room. Best shower I can remember having. We had a wine tasting, which was much better value than the wine tour, which is heavily promoted. Very well presented and interesting to sample all the Fonterutoli wine. Restaurant was shut when we stayed (Monday) but we ate breakfast there. There was a good selection of pastries and great coffee. The service at the wine bar and in the restaurant was so helpful.
Not much. To nitpick, the parking arrangement wasn't ideal but plenty space available a lttle distance from the room.

Location and cleanliness of the property.
Bathroom and shower should have better privacy curtains in window

Stylish property and large comfortable room and bed.
You don’t feel like you are on a wine estate. The actual accommodation is very close to the road so you are not rural as the pictures would suggest. The bar/cafe closes early in the week so there is no ability to even get a glass of wine after 9pm unless you are eating at the restaurant. You can only visit the vinery if you pay for a tour.

We were able to do a wine tasting, have a wonderfully curated dinner and stay overnight - all in one place. The rooms were great and the location is beautiful.

No mention of communal space with strangers in description of room. No communication from property manager, Mateo, about shared space. He checked us in. No willingness from property to resolve safety issue.

Excellent locale, fantastic rooms, mostly attentive and friendly staff. This is filled with rustic Italian charm, and has an excellent restaurant and vineyard attached.
My only note is some of the staff in the bar were a little rude, but everyone else was fantastic and very friendly.

Great Vineyard close to Siena in the heart of Chianti. Attached to the location is a fantastic Italian bar with great Tuscan home made food very reasonable.
Aircon not working as wished.

Breakfast was excellent, we enjoyed all of the meals on the property.
The AC in our room (Loggia) was not sufficient to cool the room to what we’d consider a comfortable sleeping temperature.

Room was sensational! Beautiful views! Check In was easy and hassle free and we were shown where to do for our wine tour. The wine tour itself was superb, some of the best wines we tasted the whole trip! I am part of the wine club and ordered 6 bottles to be delivered home.
To be honest, there was nothing I didn’t like. But if I could give a suggestion (being picky) perhaps a small van to transfer you down or at least back up from the wine tasting would have been ideal. Very warm heat to walk down and a little merry after the wine to walk back up. But only a small thing.

Wonderful place - spacious, beautifully decorated, tranquil, with all necessary amenities above and beyond. Our highlight was the wine bar which had absolutely the best food and service of our entire trip.
Nothing! Wish we had stayed longer.

Perfection in ever way. More space than I expected and an amazing breakfast and view. You need a car to get here but it’s worth it.

Scenic location, perfect for relaxation and wine lovers; friendly staff; good breakfast / food though a bit more variety would be welcome; clean and tidy; two bathrooms in the family suite.
The air conditioning was not working during our stay. Small bathtub bathroom, hard to use, with a broken faucet.

An amazing property nestled between the scenic views of lush green Chianti region. Cleanliness was of good standards and all basic amenities provided in the room. Hospitality could have been better by extending some more facilities in the room including tea/coffee, heating facilities etc. reception opens by 1030h so prior to this you are on your own. A great spread of breakfast and well kept restaurents and bar.
Amazing location and good restaurant

The buildings were beautiful and the room was lovely. Breakfast was amazing the ladies in the breakfast Restaurant were extremely friendly and Hospitable, it was the best part of the Stay.
On our trip, this was the most expensive hotel we booked And for the money I feel they fall short as there is no coffee in the room, My husband likes coffee when he wakes up in the morning and there is absolutely nothing available. And no Cafes or restaurants open until after 8 am. Also everything closes at 7:30 pm in the evening so if you are with family, there is not much to do as there is no television in the room either. There is a common area where they should put coffee facilities even if guests have to share.

Charming area, you really experience an authentic tuscan living, well-restored property in distinguished rustic style. Professional staff with some lack of attention to details at the Trattoria they partner up with.
We were disappointed by the restaurant offering.
While the service was excellent (including a very professional sommelier), for the VIP Dining menu we were offered a combination of the previous day’s à la carte courses. We therefore ate almost the same courses but we exchanged them. The chef gave it a try to bypass this last minute but unfortunately not enough to justify the price of the package. Additionally, none of my 2 dietary restrictions were taken into account beforehand. A pity, as the service and the wines were extraordinary.

Beautiful 15th Century hamlet. Good sized bedroom, large and well equipped living room with kitchenette and washing machine. Good air-conditioning on very hot days. Very good restaurant with beautiful outdoor setting. Easy access by car to Siena and other towns in Chiantishire
Casual lunch bar bills had to be paid separately. No iron.

Expensive if you book in advance only for a classic room with view of a parking. I asked to cancel the room at my arrival but I was obliged to stay in this hotel orherwise I would have had to pay the whole amount of the room. After long discussions, they finally decided to upgrade me in a better suite (at the same price that I paid for a classic room)!! Don’t book the room in advance or choose to better place to discover Tuscany!

The place is beautiful and wonderful. Very peaceful to relax. If you go there, be sure to go to the pool, it's worth it. The employees have a good service, especially Gina, a mestiza, she is very attentive and helpful.

Amazing Tuscan location, beautiful scenary, little stone medieval village. Very special. Very good food at the local Osteria. 5 min drive from charming small town. Horse farm near by. Interesting wine tour. Overall romantic and charming.
The welcome was not as amazing. We booked a superior room and the receptionist offered us a small, dark twin, nothing like the presentation photos for a superior. We argued back and forth for a good 15 min and were almost ready to go to another place and she still told us all rooms were booked (in Februrary). Finally after putting booking presentation photos in her face, she decided to simpy give us the actual superior room, same as presenter on booking. All unnecessary unpleasant interaction. Also, only 3 tables occupied next day for breakfast. So much for fully booked.

The location is fantastic and at first sight it is what you will call a Magical stay. Rooms are spacious, and the shared living room and kitchen were very cozy and comfortable respectively. The kitchen is huge and equipped for a light dinner preparation. Housekeeping made sure to come in everyday and maintain the room and were very polite, so as the staff in the reception. The best thing about our stay here was dinner at Osteria di Fonterotuli, it is spectacular, however I am not sure it makes up for the rest of the nuances.
Breakfast could be better, its fair in options and inconsistent, we skipped it two days in a row since we did not see the value in waking up so early, they only serve it ( 8 to 10 am ). Although you have separate rooms it is hard to get a good night sleep because you can hear everything that happens in the rest of the villa people coming in and out at different timings, housekeeper working, the door is extremely loud so every time someone opens it they wake you up. In short, anything you do in your room others will hear and vice versa. If what you are looking for is a quiet, good night sleep or writing spot this might not be it.
