La Souche

This cosy two level cottage-like apartment was ideal for our three night stay. It is very close to all the attractions and restaurants and is accessed via an inner courtyard of a building up a side street making it very quiet. The only noise we heard was occasional footsteps from residents within the same building and the creaky floors in the which are to be expected in these older buildings. The host, Jérémy, has renovated and styled it beautifully with great care and equipped it well for a short stay. The ground floor living area is comfy and well furnished to relax in though I would say the apartment is better suited to a couple (with no mobility issues) as there are lots of breakables and a sensitive wooden kitchen counter with a mini sink as well as a stylish but narrow winding staircase with no support rail. It is ideal for preparing breakfast or snacks and there are many restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner. The stylish and well fitted bathroom is separated from the bedroom by a partially glazed door which does not close completely giving partial privacy. The bed is large, firm and comfy. We slept very well. Jérémy responded very quickly to our messages and left lots of helpful information for our stay. Parking at the old market is close by (16 Euros per day). We would stay again if we come to Rouen. Just one extra ‚brownie point‘ for Jérémy - This is the first apartment where we haven’t had to take the rubbish out (unless the bag was full). Marvelous! Die ausgezeichnete, ruhige Lage ist fantastisch, um Rouen zu entdecken. Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Vielen Dank, wir haben den Aufenthalt in dieser wunderbaren Oase sehr genossen.

Wonderful location and cosy accomodation

Bardzo dobra komunikacja z gospodarzem, zadbany apartament w spokojnej okolicy, wygodne łóżko. Dobre położenie do zwiedzania centrum miasta. Ładnie wydana książeczka z informacjami.
