THE APARTMENT
The apartment La Conchiglia is situated in Riomaggiore Cinque Terre, on the second floor of a typical building from Liguria. Breathtaking sea view from each window!

Two-rooms apartment, 40 sqmt, it features: one bedroom with one double bed and a sofa bed, living room with one sofa bed and fully equipped kitchenette. Bathroom with shower.

Equipment: air conditioning/heating, free wi fi, hair dryer, dish washer, washing machine, stove and oven, freezer and fridge, tv.

Breathtaking sea view from each window, even from the bathroom!

LOCATION - PLEASE NOTE
The apartment is located in Via di Loca, in the upper part of the town and it can be reached in about 15/20 minutes ON FOOT ONLY from the train station or from the paid parking . Lift not available.

SELF CHECK The apartment is situated in Riomaggiore, our office, instead, is situated in a village called Deiva Marina, 30 km away, where we have a hotel ( Hotel Clelia Logis – seasonal opening).

REACHING RIOMAGGIORE AND THE APARTMENT LA CONCHIGLIA BY TRAIN
We suggest you to travel by train: a car is not necessary in Cinque Terre , besides finding a parking place during the summer can be hard. Travel by train instead and use it to move from one village to the other.
From the train station: 15/20 minutes on foot. The apartment can not be reached by car.
Please be sure to arrive to Riomaggiore before the sunset: reaching the house is much easier!
The Cinque Terre are beautiful and the little difficulty to reach them is part of the magic.
Bring with you light luggage!

REACHING RIOMAGGIORE BY CAR AND PARKING
In Riomaggiore there is a paid parking just at the beginning of the pedestrian area of the village. We suggest you to travel by train thoug, above all during the Summer.

Beautiful property and helpful host. Riomaggiore can be a hard place to navigate, but we received instructions from the host, with photos and we found it. The apartment is just like the photos, but the views from every window are even more stunning in person. Check in was easy, the place was well-equipped. The location was a short walk away from the shops and restaurants and so quiet and private. Absolutely perfect.

This apartment was perfect! Best view in Cinque Terre and it was nice to be above the town. Very clean and had all the supples we needed to cook wonderful meals at home with local ingredients. Absolutely stunning views- the listing photos are accurate. Yes, a bit of a hike up a steep incline (paved) and then steep stone steps and then more steps in the building but nothing that wasn’t manageable for us and we definitely agree that the little hike was worth it. We would recommend this place and would stay here again- Riomaggiore is absolutely beautiful and what a treat to see the homes across the way from this vacation spot light up at dusk!

The WOW factor here is the view from the windows of the apartment. The vistas are absolutely stunning! It’s a hike to get here, but more than worth it. The communication with management was helpful. Truly a vacation we will always treasure!

Beautiful view from the window of this apartment. We loved our stay here. It was nice to have a quiet and relaxing day at the end of our Italy trip. The property owner (manager?) was very communicative and made sure we had good instructions to find the apartment. It wasn't really hard to find but would be confusing if you didn't know where you were going. We appreciated all the detail to make it easy to find. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The views from this property were gorgeous! It was a bit of challenge to get to so definitely consider if you will have large or heavy luggage. But we thought well worth it. The owner was very responsive and helpful in providing directions to the rental and check in instructions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

nice quiet location just a short walk from the main street. beautiful views of the town and sea. in fact there were many tourists who walked up to see the same view of the town at a lookout nearby. the shower was tiny but perhaps that is to be expected. would stay here again!

We were well rewarded for the little hike with our bags. Our perch above the town allowed us to enjoy not only the sights and sounds of Riomaggiore but also the beautiful Mediterranean and the sunsets were amazing. We found we enjoyed cooking in the little kitchen while watching the sun go down over this little piece of paradise.

This apartment was perfect for our 4 night stay in Riomaggiore. It had the most phenomenal views, and the sunsets were spectacular. The aircon kept us very cool during the summer heatwave and was appreciated. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for the few meals we cooked at home. It is indeed a bit tricky to get to but absolutely worth it once you arrive. The instructions given by the the hosts are very clear. Take the time to follow them and you should be fine! We would also recommend that you arrive with some water and snacks - so that you can have something refreshing as soon as you arrive. If you follow the instructions it’s a 10-15 minute walk uphill from the train station.. Pack lightly - you’ll be glad you did! The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful anytime we needed to communicate. We will definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had a lovely stay in Riomaggiore. The property is a bit off the beaten track, making it a little more difficult when arriving with your things, but it is well worth it for the spectacular views! The property was clean and comfortable and cool, which was much appreciated after a day in the sun. The property had everything we needed, including several thoughtful items such as an outlet converter (ours broke in transit). It was easy to communicate with our hosts via WhatsApp, and they responded quickly if we had a question. We would definitely recommend staying here - just be sure to pack light!

This apartment has all the needed amentities including a washing machine. The views from all the windows is spectacular. Since it is high on the cliffs, there is a significant hill to climb from the central part of town. DO NOT use google maps to find the property, follow the instrucrion from the property manager.

The apartment has the most stunning view from all five windows as long as you direct your eyes to the coast. If you lower your eyes to the terrain below surrounding the property, you might want to burst into tears just like I almost did. The apartment was decently clean and the manager let me have two extra towels. However the entrance of the building and stairwell strongly smell like dump and badly need some good maintenance. In both nights I spent there, I still did not manage to find the right switch to turn on the entrance light despite touching all switches visible. The most disappointment was the garden surrounding the property including a veranda which view would score 5 stars in any world natural scenery contest. All grounds surrounding this building including the land below look abandoned, neglected, totally run down. Unfortunately the entire Cinqueterre are not only neglected but trashed to indecency.

The views here are the most beautiful I have ever seen. The apartment is perfect!!! Five windows overlook the town and coast below. The cool breeze and ocean sounds are so relaxing. This apartment would easily be $500 a night in America, if something like this even existed. Absolutely breathtaking.

The view is like a scene from a movie! The walk up the hill is strenuous, but if you’re physically capable, it is absolutely worth it. My only suggestion to the host is that it would be nice to have a drying rack for days when one can’t hang laundry out on the line. If there was one there, we couldn’t find it.

BEST VIEWS in Riomaggiore! Management did a good job of setting up expectations and explicit directions, with frequent/appropriate communications. Be prepared for a long uphill walk.... a like challenging for 60+ year olds with luggage. Pack light! Totally worth the effort for the amazing experience in this magical town. Very busy town in August

The view is INCREDIBLE! The location can be tricky to get to but their instructions are very easy to follow. The only problem was we had some leaking from the ceiling and the property managers were quick to get in touch with us but it continued and occurred in 3 different spots, including 2 over the bed. Because of the difficulty of location, they couldn’t get anyone out to fix during our stay so we had to move the mattress from the main bed to the pull out bed (very uncomfortable on its own). Because of the inconvenience we asked for a small refund but apparently the maintenance guy didn’t find any issues so no refund and extra work for us.

We’ve been coming here now for four years and each time we fall in love with the area a little bit more. The apartment views are unmatched. We love falling asleep to the sounds of the waves and waking up to the 7 AM church bells. This is a hiking holiday for us and the apartment has everything we need for a week’s stay. Yes, the shower is tiny, but there is a lot of hot water. There are also a washing machine, refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, and tv. They upgraded their WiFi this year, so it was quite fast. Pack light - did I mention the washing machine? - it is about a 10 minute walk from the train station and the ascent is equivalent to 13 storeys. Well worth it! Alessandra is a joy to work with and is very responsive. Hoping to make our way back in 2020!

A short walk from all the restaurants that Riomaggiore has to offer, but far enough to feel secluded and away from the crowds. I said over and over how this is the best view in the whole town. You get a 180 degree view of the ocean and some of the town as well (makes for great pictures). Nicer than expected on the inside and the bed was very comfortable.
