Appartement aux remparts des Hospices

Appartement spacieux, excellente literie, tout proche du centre-ville

L’emplacement est juste parfait, avec place de parking juste devant! Une petite terrasse parfaite pour le petit déjeuner. Il y a le nécessaire dans l’appartement et tout est très propre.

Petit bémol pour la qualité du lit.

Perfecte ligging ten aanzien van centrum (loopafstand), appartement is groot en beschikt over parkeergelegenheid op het terrein. rustig ligging (je hebt geen last van autogeluiden ondanks dat het aan een weg ligt).

Op het moment dat wij er waren was er een hittegolf. Het appartement beschikt helaas niet over een airco (alleen over een windmolen). Om het dragelijk te houden moeten de luiken gesloten blijven en dit geeft een donker opgesloten gevoel.

Location, location, location! Easy & ample parking. (These 2 features scored 10/10) Bed was quite comfortable with crisp cotton linen.

We were so disappointed when we drove up and saw the tatty, neglected building. It was like poorly maintained student accommodation rather than a holiday apartment. It didn't improve inside either! The score for the apartment alone would be 2/10. There are several problems:- peeling, chipped paint damaged varnish/paint on floors rusty radiator damp areas in shower broken shower head loose electrical sockets door into garden is jammed kitchen & bathroom blinds don't work leaking bathroom tap stained upholstery weed filled terrace. This was our most expensive accommodation on a month long trip and definitely our worst experience. All other owners have been great communicators & have provided up to date info & even gifts. There was very limited communication here and the tourist info was lacking/outdated. We decided against cooking here and ate out instead, thus making our stay in Beaune even more expensive. With hindsight I think Beaune is an expensive town and I would have paid more to stay somewhere that was well maintained. We would not recommend this apartment despite it's parking and excellent location. I think an overall score of 5 is appropriate.
