Clos de Bartinquie

Béatrice et Jean-Claude sont très accueillants et serviables. Le lieu est très reposant, la piscine est très agréable, le jardin est rempli d'arbres fruitiers.

A beautiful rural setting about a 6 min.car journey from the pretty village of Lalinde. Beatrice and Jean Claude were so welcoming and made sure everything was perfect. Breakfast was elegantly served under the shade of a chestnut tree, all freshly made. The pool was very clean and the fact that there is only one bedroom means that we had it all to ourselves. The room was spacious and cool , in spite of the high temperatures outside, and the bed very comfortable. Beatrice went above and beyond to look after us, whilst at the same time allowing us our privacy. We kept her up late one night chatting over some wine! Sorry Beatrice! Maestro, the dog is very sweet, as are the cats. Highly recommend this if you’re looking for peace and quiet in a relaxing and beautiful setting.,

Everything was perfect. The hosts were amazing. Breakfast was a real treat.

A “personalized” breakfast was prepared based on our answers to questions asked by the host. There is also a swimming pool, which is admittedly small, but under the exceptional conditions of the heatwave, it was very welcome. Upon our arrival, we were treated to glasses of wine and pieces of sweet melon, served at a table beneath the shade of an impressive tree, whose canopy made the intense heat much more bearable.

There was no air conditioning or fan in the room, but the building is old and naturally stays cool. In the evenings, we were able to open the window and enjoy a pleasant breeze. There is no television in the room, which was actually a refreshing change. The only drawback was that the toilet was separate from the bathroom and located outside the room itself. At the very least, a small sink for washing hands should be installed in the toilet.
