We really enjoyed our stay here. Located right by the old town and within easy walking or DiDi to attractions. The staff were lovely, really helpful with recommendations for food, pharmacy and pick up from the train station. The hotel itself is beautiful, a tranquil place with amazing feng shui inspired surroundings right under the Cangstan mountains. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would definitely recommend!! Thank you so much for a great stay!!

A lovely retreat with exceptional hospitality Dali Yanyuan Mountain Retreat was a wonderful place to stay during our visit to Dali. The hotel has an intimate, welcoming character that makes it easy to settle in and feel at home. It offers a lovely retreat after a day of exploring—a place to slow down, unwind, and enjoy a quieter side of the trip. What makes this hotel particularly special is its personal atmosphere. There is a warmth to the place that goes beyond simply having somewhere to sleep. We appreciated being able to return after sightseeing and feel comfortable, relaxed, and genuinely welcome. For us, that feeling is an essential part of a memorable hotel stay. Above all, Chao and Lin deserve special recognition. They went above and beyond to look after us, and their kindness and willingness to help made an enormous difference. Their hospitality never felt impersonal or routine; we felt that they truly cared about our experience and wanted us to enjoy our time in Dali. It is the combination of the hotel’s welcoming atmosphere and the people behind it that makes Dali Yanyuan Mountain Retreat stand out. Chao and Lin bring so much heart to the place, turning a stay into something much more personal and memorable. Thank you both for taking such good care of us. We would happily return and wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a welcoming base in Dali with thoughtful service and a personal touch.

Such a beautiful stay! Clean and big rooms, well located. The staff were so helpful and spoke good English, and arranged our pick up from the station in advance.

We had a great stay from September 15–17, 2026! Our room was clean and well-stocked with toiletries. Special thanks to Mr. Chao and Mr. Lin for being so warm, courteous, and helpful with practical information about Dali. Highly recommended!"
