Overall the property has great potential but better maintenance would have been appreciated.

The location was excellent, with parking conveniently right in front of the house and a lovely view from the small balcony. The bathroom was newly renovated and very nice and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed.

In the downside, the furniture felt dated and the mattresses were worn out and very uncomfortable. The bed sheets had holes in them which was very disappointing. The WiFi connection was very weak and not reliable. The flat did not appear to have been throughly cleaned before our arrival and the stairs outside the house were never cleared of snow and ice, which made access inconvenient and potentially unsafe. A safe in the flat would have been appreciated.

A revisit after 49 years, it was like stepping back in time for us and we loved visiting Brand once again.

A two night stay so we didn’t require much apart from a clean comfortable space, and it was exactly that. A good position, with the mountains to look, and a running river to listen to whilst relaxing on the balcony, heaven.

Only that it didn’t have an oven.

Minor points: very little storage space in the bedroom, we basically couldn't unpack. The sofa was quite uncomfortable.

Friendly host, convenient location, great value for money

We stayed three nights at Haus Zalim in July 2023 during an Interrail vacation. Actually, we were supposed to stay two nights, but decided to stay one more night since it was so nice in Brand. It was easy to get to Brand from Bludenz with the bus. The bus stop is a few hundred meters from Haus Zalim. Haus Zalim is a great alternative for families on a budget. There are many more expensive places to stay at in Brand, but Haus Zalim has all you could ask for in an apartment hotel for a great value for money. The host Andrea lives at the property and is easy to reach at the front desk, via an app or per phone. She is really friendly. Haus Zalim is conveniently located in the middle of the village with restaurants within a hundred meters or so. The little local store is just around the corner where you could buy bread for breakfast and other essentials. We liked our studio on the third floor, especially the balcony. The bathroom was recently renovated, modern and actually really good. Also, the kitchenette was modern. The room itself was more dated with solid wood furniture. That's not a problem and adds to the feeling of originality. However, the sofa bed has been around for a long time and is really hard on one side. But the whole family slept well in the room anyway. I would recommend Haus Zalim to anyone going to Brand.

Amazing apartment! 10 points!

It is an amazing apartment with a beautiful view. Very clean, comfortable big bed, balcony. All the kitchen utensil you may need. The hostess was very polite and upon arrival gave us all the information on what to see and where to go. It is amazing that you also get a guest card, which gives you free access to cable lifts! You save a lot of money. Thank you again for a very nice welcome! Will recommend this place to others!

Comfortable, children friendly stay and slightly over priced.

Gust card premium was handed out for us for 2 night stay which we could use for public transport and cable cars in the neighbourhood for free and unlimited access. Clean room with modern bathroom and toilets. Beds were so comfy. Children enjoyed the bunk bed. Room was sound proof. Balcony was spacious. Host placed a few welcome drinks in the fridge for us to use and some chocolates too. Indoor play area with lot of toys and outdoor too. Children felt home. There were also some books placed in the room for reading. Car parking is right in front of the apartment. Hosts were so friendly, we were given 2 boxes of chocolates and a toy for children while check-out.

The plates in the kitchen were bit old, odd shaped and not cleaned properly. Had to clean it once before we could use. We cook most of the time by ourself. The nearby super market was tiny and didn't had much groceries especially while cooking ourself. Had to go to Burs which was 12km mountain drive, fun though. Only cash payment accepted by the host.

A very good weekend deal!

The value for the money is enormous in Haus Zalim! It is not just the room: small present, "minibar" and sweets gratis, and the best is the 2days daily ticket to the ski lifts and public transportation, all included in the price of the room. Crazy good deal!

The neighbour came at midnight and was mega loud until 2:30. Out of it everything was best.

Would like to stay longer

Hosts are very friendly, personal meeting and short explanation about the housekeeping were perfect, the best thing that you are provided with free access to public transport, cable cars and swimming pool. The room is fully equipped with possibilities to eat breakfast and do small cooking. The view from the room to the mountains was astonishing. Hiking roads are wonderful.

Comfortable Stay in Brand, Austria

The Deutsch family who runs the hotel is very friendly and welcoming, especially Andrea. She replied in a very timely manner to emails, had extra bedding and towels brought to our room quickly, and was very helpful with giving advice about what hikes to do in the area. It is possible to cook yourself breakfast in your room, and a small Spar (grocery store) that has pretty much everything you need, is a few minutes walk from the hotel. My kids greatly enjoyed the playroom with lots of toys (adjacent to the lobby), and there’s a very nice playing area in the yard as well. I would definitely recommend Haus Zalim

- small oven in the kitchen would have been nice (studio) - a bigger table on the balcony would be beneficial (so that you can have a meal or play a board game) - no payment by card. There is an ATM close to the property, but it changes a commission.

Great location for hikers and bikers! clean and cozy apartments! + point: pet and kids friendly

I really appreciated the privacy and cleanliness of the apartment as well as the newly renovated bathrooms! The Location is amazing for bikers and hikers as it's just near the lift and the Host is really kind and can give you great tipps what to do. Families with Kids would surely enjoy this location as it offers a huge backyard with trampoline, swings and a really great mountain view for parents to enjoy. +Big plus point, it's pet friendly!

You have to get tested negative before you arrive! Don't forget about that, folks!

A very beautiful stay in spectacular surroundings

The location was spectacular. It was amazing to stay in the amazing vicinity. Beautiful location to have a walk and enjoy the greens, water and animals. You wake up in the morning and suddenly hear the water sound from the river nearby. Refreshing! The mountains are magical. The Luenersee can easily be reached by public transport. And last but not least, the apartment owners are lovely.

I would have preferred to have my car parked in the garage. There should be an option for the guests in the beginning. The internet/Wi-Fi connection was fine but not that great. I always need some space to park since I know neighboring car could hit my car while leaving the parking lot.

Perfect location, ideal for families with children

Great location to visit the valleys and mountains around Brand. We liked the most the room where kids could play with lots of different toys and the garden with plenty of additional toys, swing, wooden house and multiple push ride on. It's located very close to the cable car where you have several great paths and routes. It's in the middle of the village, so you have several stores and bakery nearby. Room was clean with a great view on the mountains! You can easily park in front of the hotel, there's an elevator which helps to get to higher floors with your luggage. Wifi worked without the problem.

Too bad there's no possibility to get the breakfast. Other than that, all was perfect.

Fantastyczny

Mieliśmy pokój z aneksem kuchennym co było idealnym rozwiązaniem dla rodziny 2+3. Wszystko co było potrzebne znajdowało się w pokoju. Bardzo miła obsługa w recepcji - rozwiązywała każdy problem. Parking na miejscu oraz przechowalnia na narty. Bardzo blisko do wyciągu głównego gdzie można podjechać do stoków w pobliskiej miejscowości. Jeździ skibus którym również za darmo można podjechać.

De locatie van het appartement is top ligt centraal en op loopafstand van de spar en de bakker. Erg vriendelijke eigenaren. Appartement was heerlijk alles erop en eraan groot balkon lekker bed en goede douche en uitzicht op de oefenpiste.

Das Appartement war sehr gepflegt und sauber. Die Besitzer waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch das grosse Spielzimmer für die Kinder war mit sehr vielen verschiedenen Spielsachen ausgerüstet. Die Lage war super und sehr zentral. Auch Nahe an der Skischule. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Tolle Lage und super für Familien

Die Lage ist für uns als Familie mit 2 kleinen Kindern perfekt gewesen. Auch das Spielzimmer haben unsere kleinen sehr geliebt. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Wir wurden sehr herzlich begrüßt und haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Aus der Beschreibung ist leider nicht ganz eindeutig hervorgegangen, dass das Studio keine Türen und nur ein großes Zimmer hergibt. Bei der Raumaufteilung war eine gläserne Schiebetür zum Bad etwas unpraktisch. Mit kleineren Kindern die früh schlafen gehen, wissen wir nun dass wir beim nächsten Mal ein anderes Appartment buchen sollten.

Saubere, moderne Unterkunft mit herzlichen Gastgebern

Eine rundum gelungenes Appartement : alles ist neu und sehr sauber. Unsere Kinder waren begeistert vom Hochbett und dem liebevoll eingerichteten Spielezimmer. Besonders praktisch ist der beheizte Skikeller. Die Familie Deutsch war äußerst nett, herzlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Ein weiteres Plus: Der Übungshang am Schlegellift ist bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Auch der Bäcker und der Supermarkt sind super erreichbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt!

Die Küche war etwas sparsam mit Geschirr ausgestattet.

Gute Lage, nettes Personal, bequeme Bezten, Premium Gästecard mit vielen Vorzügen, Welcome Drink/Abschiedsgeschenk & ein super Kinderspielbereich indoor/outdoor mit praktischen Sitzmöglichkeiten.

Das einzig fehlende waren Verdunklungsvorhänge. Jedoch wird es Anfang Oktober nicht mehr allzu früh hell & war deshalb ok.
