Ellis Beach Oceanfront Holiday Park

The area is nice, the park is very clean.

The accommodation was described as beach front but certainly wasn't. The design of the cabins is very strange, a big spacious lounge room / kitchen but with only one small lounge to sit on, a tiny bathroom with a dodgy dunny seat, one towel rack a long way from the shower over the toilet (kind of gross) and no exhaust fan, which meant the whole house stank after someone used the toilet, so we had to go and buy spray. The main bedroom is stupidly big and yet the second bedroom is strangely very small?. The very high ceilings are very nice though, as it's the verandah and graded area at the side. There was construction going on next door all day only metres from us, which we weren't warned about, which also interfered with access to the Bar n Grill, again no warning and no effort to make the access easier for guests because without that the place has nothing. Overall the place is quite nice, has potential but needs better management.

Just the most beautiful little cabin right on the beach. Booking.com is going to say we had the Deluxe Cabin but we actually got it changed to the one with the seperate bedroom. It was perfect. The veranda is enclosed so you can sit out there with your dog and watch the waves only about 20m away. Absolutely wonderful location and the sound of the waves marvellous through the night. The staff are lovely and super helpful. Bar and Grill very close by that we didn’t actually get to sample this time but I hear it’s fantastic. Reception have a range of groceries and alcohol available too.
