Lago Maggiore

Amazing view of the lake from the window. The hotel is clean and tidy. My room was small but enough for one person, and it had everything needed. A ceiling fan was silent (!) that made a big difference in hot weather. Breakfast at the cozy restaurant was wonderful. Dinner was good also. Staff was helpful. I liked that the area was very green & quiet, and it was easy to get to Stresa and the other nearby attractions of the lake.

It was hot, and fresh air did not come into the room even through wide open window. I knew that there was no A/C but I thought it was not needed at nights in the mountains. A silent ceiling fan was very helpful! The building is not soundproof, perhaps like all old buildings around the lake, and it is right next to the main road around the lake. The traffic somewhat dies down at night but not entirely. I requested a room away from the traffic noise but this option was the best available. It was much less traffic noise at night with the window shut and fan turned on. It was hard to close the faucet in the sink very tight so it wouldn’t leak.

Très bel emplacement et très bon accueil. Salle de bains bien équipée et propre.

Moquette au sol, chambre sur cour bruyante (poubelles), matelas fatigué. Pas de plateau de bienvenue ni frigo.
