    Really lovely little inn. Comfortable rooms with modern decor, soft sheets and plump pillows and duvet. Great breakfast too. Loved the sheep theme!

    Good location in the market square. Staff friendly. Room quaint, a little tired in places, but nothing to complain about.

    This hotel is in a nice situation, facing the market square in Thirsk, a pleasant little market town. Our room was okay, and faced away from the square, so was very quiet, but offered little in the way of a view. Good sized, separate, but en-suite bathroom. Free toiletries of course, but it looks like you have to buy them, as there is a price list (apparently for any extra you may wish to purchase). The bar was out of the one beer that I wanted, and the restaurant was out of a couple of our preferred food choices, so we left without eating there. More genteel than the nearby Three Tuns (Wetherspoons) Hotel, but we prefer the Three Tuns, who offer great prices on food and a friendly, if noisier, experience. Handy for the James Herriot Museum, and this hotel has free parking out back.
