Hotel Gasthof am Schloß

It is a nice and friendly hotel in a lovely, quiet village. Assume they dont have many foreign visotors as they dont speek in English. Staff very friendly and helpful, good food, rooms are minimalist but in a good way, clean.

As it was very hot this summer I wasnt happy with only one fan for a two rooms apartmen (loft).One of the beds is too high so its veryclose to the ceiling, not much room left on the bed....

Bequeme, saubere Zimmer, nette Besitzer, tolles Frühstück, nahe der Autobahn, gratis Parkplatz. Wir halten hier seit Jahren regelmäßig an, es war immer ein tolles Erlebnis. Am abend gut essen, ausschlafen, am morgen ein schönes Frühstück und weiterfahren. Wir kommen noch zurück.

We kwamen hier aan voor 1 nachtje voor een tussenstop. We hadden de familiekamer, ruim opgezette kamer. Ontbijt was super, vooraf moest je het aantal broedjes opgeven de rest kon je pakken. 9 kilometer verderop zat er een freibad daar kan je lekker zwemmen voor een mooie prijs.

Location to motorway. Clean bedding. Breakfast was very good. And there was a real person present which was a bonus after the arrival experience.

When selected this accommodation yesterday, it was NOT at all clear or obvious on the app that the restaurant is always closed on Monday and Tuesday. Interestingly after I complained it is now showing 🤔. Having travelled all day, our regular routine is get to a place with a restaurant, walk about for an hour then have dinner. We had to drive half an hour more, as if a whole day wasn't enough, to try and find somewhere to eat. Also the place wasn't manned, and although there is a keybox, the whole place was unmanned. It felt soulless, uninviting, dirty ashtrays and empty bottles were, on the table upon arrival, right at the entrance and those were still there this morning. It felt spooky and uncomfortable from the point of view of no living soul anywhere in the relatively big place. Our firm view that when the restaurant isn't open, they should NOT accept accommodation booking either. This way, we've been left with the worst possible impression in our 30 years of travelling through Europe both ways.
