Dorint Resort & Spa Bad Brückenau

Very well maintained, friendly staff and very calm, perfect for families with babies. Outside pool’s water temperature was right for our 1 year old (also because weather was good). Tasty breakfast.

Our room (superior double room park wing) was modern, spacious and there was lots of storage space. Breakfast was really good. The vegan bread spread was surprisingly very good (we are not vegan). Staff was friendly and helpful. It is in the historic spa town. The food in the restaurant is also good.

Everything was really good but it was a bit on the pricey side.

The room was lovely, with a beautiful view of the mountains. Visiting in the fall made it even more special, the golden leaves covering the hills were absolutely stunning.

The only thing we didn’t quite enjoy was that the outdoor pool wasn’t warm enough. For us, having a well-heated pool makes a big difference, we really enjoy swimming outside even when the weather is cool. Last year, we stayed at another resort with a heated outdoor pool, and it was such a wonderful experience, even when it was snowing.

The location is fabulous and offers enough for a short stay even if you don’t take the car. Minigolf!

The mattrasses in the main building / old part are too hard and sub-standard compared to other hotels. Not enough sunbeds when busy on weekends, various customers were complaining. But most disappointing was that there was a wedding party in the main building below the rooms with open doors to the garden with a DJ blasting club loud beats. Party guests also stayed in the courtyard having conversations until 1:30AM which was not mentioned or properly dealt with until we complained 3 times late at night. Initial responses from the staff were unprofessional; “whats the issue?!” This was totally inappropriate after trying to have a conversation with the front desk about the situation. The second response was: “we don’t make the contracts, management does”. Very disappointing for a place that markets itself as a Spa / Wellness resort! In the end a very poor nights sleep for the entire family including kids! The hotel could have planned the rooms and party entirely differently but at least should have mentioned to the hotel guests that there would be a large wedding/disco party in the main building.
