Dunsley Hall Country House Hotel

The staff work exceptionally hard and are friendly and lovely but they are all doing multiple jobs so seem pushed. The food was average, nice but nothing special. The bar prices were high £10 for a single whiskey! Our room was nice but very basic, lovely view out of the window. The inside of the hotel is lovely, we relaxed in the lounge after dinner and chatted to other guests which was nice.

We are professional gardeners and designers and we were expecting lovely gardens with well stocked beds but the hotel has none of this, the gardens are run down and badly maintained. So much wasted space and we were disappointed! There were little bits of flowers but for a place like this it should be much better. We did read that the breakfasts are exceptional but sorry to say they are just average! Then there is the WiFi code! Everyone looks at it and says the same thing! Can’t it be simpler!

Didn’t live up to expectations as advertised and cost to stay. Needs a better cleaning regime. Wi fi reception was very poor and the access code was longer than the M 1. Breakfast was average

The WiFi did not work in the bedroom The cooked breakfast was appalling and comprised of 'kept warm' food nothing was cooked fresh. Poor selection of fruit for breakfast.. who eats dried banana slices for breakfast? Tea was 'make your own' using hot water flasks. The toast was also make your with about 4 loaves of white and brown sliced bread in 4 piles. No pastries
