Shalom Residence Nawala

This is a wonderful apartment. Very comfortable and clean place. The apartment is convenient, close To the centre of Colombo. Since this is a spacious place, I would recommend this place for a family of four too.

There is room for improvement of facilities.

Large living area and kitchen, two spacious bedrooms, 2 balconies with a great view, same floor as pool and gym, 5 min walk to a great neighbourhood with restaurants supermarket etc, ac and fan in every room was nice. Super helpful host Mr Bandara. Building security good too.

It was not clean, was so dusty we couldn’t breathe. After requesting they cleaned after two days, not a proper cleaning just vacuuming, we had to insist on mopping the floors. There was no proper pan to make an omelette, we told the caretaker and he said he will provide a pan, this was the first day of our stay. When we called to check he wouldn’t answer so we called the owner and he said he will provide but till we checked out we didn’t get a pan. We stopped asking and by the second day we bought one ourselves. The wifi was also not good, we had to keep calling the caretaker and he most of the time would not answer. When we complained to the owner, he said we had to pay which was ridiculous since nothing like this was mentioned in booking.com. We finally gave in and used our data to watch tv. The sofa was very uncomfortable, my back hurt from sitting in that. Even the dining table chairs were very uncomfortable as the seats were dome shaped and sitting in them hurt.
