Bairro Alto Bronze of Art Apartments

It's a large and immaculate apartment on a quiet side street in the heart of Bairro Alto.

Nothing to speak of.

Bedding for two not in apartment but available in locker next door

The location was probably the best thing, very close to train station and public transport and restaurants.

The air conditioner was noisy and smells, needs a service. The building opposite is a homeless refuge which i had no problems with but they do congregate outside waiting for the shelter to open and is a little intimidating and uncomfortable gaining access to the building.

No problems on arrival. Front door code to enter communal hall. Steep stairs up to flat and then a keybox on the wall with opened first time. Flat is a good size with a kitchen, lounge space, bed and bathroom. Nicely decorated, clean and nice products in the shower. Air conditioned.

Lighting in stairwell was difficult to figure out and switch at the bottom of the stairs didn't work. On several occasions the front door key pad unlocking did not work. I think I needed to pull the door towards me while entering the code, but had several attempts to get in each time to figure this out. This was daunting with a homeless man watching and trying to speak to me. The apartment is opposite a homeless shelter with broken windows which is a little disconcerting when travelling alone. Can also hear noise of other guests upstairs and in the communal hall.
