Modern, with everything we needed
A little hard to find first time, but not really a problem.

Love the shower and large tub. Great to experience a traditional Japanese home. Space is good enough for a family of 4. Location is okay. No problem with wifi. Toilet is downstairs with a steep stairs so might not be advisable if you pee multiple times in the evening.
Cannot get rid of the pee smell in the toilet. Wish odour spray and cleaning items are provided. Couch and throw pillows needs freshening. For improvement, it would be great if a smart tv and washing machine is replaced with a model that has drying function. Came during beginning of autumn and our clothes took 2 days to dry.

It was an awesome place to stay in Kyoto. Very nicely designed with an authentic charm. Close to many attractions and Gion. The host were very welcoming and kind.
