Great hotel, room, location.

I don't blame the hotel, but this is an advisory. Beware of a number of scam WhatsApp msgs with accurate personal details asking to provide credit card to confirm booking. Confirmed directly with hotel these requests did not originate from them. I even got an scam e-mail after I extended my stay in person, not online. Of all the hotels on my month long trip, this is the only one I encountered this problem. As of Jan 2026, reservation system may be compromised, or someone on staff may be feeding info to scammers. Because I was vigilant, no financial damage done.

fantastic location, very comfy stay, friendly staff, they also made sure that our bikes were secured overnight as we did a bike packing trip. they allowed secure parking for our bikes in the hotel which i was really happy about.

My room was way smaller than usual. I expected a standard twin room and instead had a room half the size. When I called to ask to change to standard full size room they were fully booked. They should not charge the same amount for a room half the size of the other standard rooms.

I liked the location of this hotel . It is right in the centre of Schagen . Our rooms were generous and very clean. We had a lovely little window seat, which was lovely to watch the ducks from

The fridges in both rooms were so noisy it was hard to sleep , so much so that I had to leave the fridge door open on the last night at 3am as it bothered me so much. It only makes noise when shut.The pillows were all different sizes and lumpy and uncomfortable. We only saw one staff member during our entire stay . There is no one there . Ever! No one at all . When we arrived I couldn't get in as the key swipe action wouldn't work on my phone. I kept ringing the hotel phone number . No answer , and no one rang back . Luckily when I sent the email to my daughter it worked. But only her phone could let us in to both rooms and from outside.throughout our stay .We couldn't figure out the Aircon. Again No One There . The only staff member we met was really put out by us, made us feel really like an inconvenience. My dutch friend apologised about the way she spoke to us and was disgusted as she was so surprised by her angry manner towards us. On my last day I went down hoping to find someone, as normally all the doors were locked. I found the same person, asked about how to check out I was told to find her as she will be around, walking, very busy , then later I came to see her she just said , " yeah , OK " and then turned around and walked off . And that was it . Checked out No thank you , or how was your stay blah blah . Just ,yeah , go away . Awful This is a very expensive hotel , It's location does not compensate for completely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE , UNCOMFORTABLY LOUD NOISE INSIDE YOUR ROOM , UNCOMFORTABLE SLEEP , and too hot in your room. It felt like a hostel with nice sheets and cost me nearly €850.00 for three nights . Would recommend for the location , but there is another hotel beside it and others. I'll be staying there next time.
