About this house rental
Mooring with a clean dock at sailing boat depth. Newly built sauna with shower on the other deck. Wide view of Vaxholms Bay and Kastellet. Sun all day long.
The boat is available for rent.
The Waxholmsbåt ferry runs regularly to Stegesund, an island where the seaport is located. We have a private boat on Resarö, a 5-minute boat ride from the house.
Terraced grounds with paved patios where you can enjoy breakfast while watching the boats go by.
Four different houses, recently renovated or newly built
A large house of about 90 m² with a spacious balcony and a fireplace outside as well as one inside the living room.
On the balcony, there’s a hot tub that seats six people. The entire house was built/renovated in 2012.
Three beds and a kitchen with an induction cooktop,
microwave, and fridge-freezer.
A small house of approximately 12 m² with two beds.
The third house is three meters from the water. 12 m² with a Smegkyl sink and two beds.
The sauna cabin on a newly built dock
with a shower and a loft for two people.
All cabins offer breathtaking views of the lake.

We went to Anders beautiful summer house as a family group to celebrate a significant birthday and we were not disappointed. The position was spectacular and the ease of travel to Vaxholm by ferry, boat taxi or using Anders boat was excellent. The separate buildings and terraces provided opportunities to escape occasionally.The house was fully provided with all the facilities we required and response to any questions was swift.We would not hesitate to recommend this place - we loved it.

Two factors made our stay at this house so memorable:
1) The house sits on the beautiful island of Stegesund (no cars, only a small dirt road) that overlooks gorgeous water just outside of the town of Vaxholm. The July sun bathes the house in warm light all day long. You get the benefit of feeling away from the city while only being a 5 minute ferry/boat ride away from Vaxholm. Very peaceful!
2)Anders, the host, was amazing to work with. From the booking process through to helping us organize a taxi ride to the airport, Anders was always responsive and willing to make our stay as carefree as possible.
We will definitely stay here again if we get the opportunity.

The location is beautiful and the ferries across to Vaxholm are easy to use. The house is very pretty and quirky and the beds were comfortable, although we had to make them ourselves on arrival. The kitchen is well equipped with nice coffee machines and cooker etc but it would be helpful to have some larger serving bowls for salad etc! It was great to have access to paddle boards which the teenagers made good use of. The instructions for the various toilets were a bit confusing but the host clarified things when we messaged him.
