The lack of effective air conditioning that cooled the rooms. Both air conditioning units in the room were not functioning correctly. They were on 24/7 but still didn’t cool the apartment sufficiently to ensure a decent nights sleep - we stayed 3 nights and left feeling exhausted as none of us slept well on any nights as the room was stuffy and hot. Lara tried her best to rectify the issue as well as proving us with one small table fan (the other fan they had was broken).

There were quite a few bugs/nats in the room which kept getting in throughout the week despite the fly nets on the windows. But it was clean and didn’t feel dirty as a result!

The property is done up very aesthetically and feels blended with nature. Tanja is a great host. The location is great. Quiet & peaceful with a great deal of personal touch. Breakfast was done very well, but more like brunch.

Ant infestation is a reality with nature; some management would be good. The breakfast is a large portion. Flexibility to order will be great vs ordering a full portion.

Our host met us at the property and helped coordinate a taxi from the Korčula ferry, which made getting in super easy. There were 5 of us, including my brother who’s over 6’0”, and he ended up on the small sofa—it wasn’t the most comfortable, but realistically the space couldn’t have fit anything bigger anyway. Just worth knowing it’s more of a studio setup, so there’s not really privacy if you’re sharing with a group. One of the best parts was having a family dinner on the terrace with some local wine and cheese—the view is amazing and it was just a really nice moment. The host also gave us a couple restaurant recs. We tried Zure Winery and were excited about it, but it ended up being the most expensive meal of our whole two-week trip and honestly didn’t feel worth it. We probably should’ve looked at the menu beforehand instead of just going for it. Maestral Cafe, on the other hand, was exactly what we wanted—super casual, good prices, and really solid food. We went as a group and all agreed it was the move, especially after long beach days.

Not on the host at all, but if you’re going outside of high season, just know a lot of things are still closed—boat tours, beach clubs, vineyards, etc. There’s a beach club right by the property and when we walked over they told us they’d be opening 3 days after we left… which was a little painful timing. Just something to keep in mind when planning.
