This apartment is an ideal couples’ retreat no matter what the season. Tucked into the hillside on the edge of the village of Mortehoe, its unique position offers the most spectacular views out over Woolacombe Bay. Enjoy days out at Devon’s best beaches before returning to dine alfresco on your elevated terrace.
This spacious apartment occupies the entire top floor of a most impressive residence. The property has its own private entrance (26 external steps to the second floor) through a large porch which is ideal for storage. The comfortably furnished open-plan living/dining/kitchen is dominated by the large picture window with the most amazing coastal views that will not fail to impress no matter the weather. Relax here in the evenings and watch a DVD on the TV with your loved one. The kitchen has everything needed to create romantic meals which can be shared either at the table by the window or outside on the picnic bench. A spacious and attractive super-king-size bedroom which can be split into singles on request, and offers village and country views, and the pretty bathroom offers a great space to rejuvenate in the evenings or freshen up in the mornings. Within the elevated terraced gardens, a private patio area provides an ideal spot to eat alfresco or just watch the sun go down with a glass of wine at the end of an active day spent on the beach or exploring all that this wonderful area has to offer.
When staying at this coastal gem, you’ll be less than a mile from the renowned beach at Woolacombe but also the same distance from Barricane Beach. This is a lesser-known beach which serves up delicious Sri Lankan curries during the summer months. Get your food, sit on the rocks and just watch the sun go down. There are two welcoming pubs in the village too; one has regular live music and the other is dog friendly. If you’re looking for a nice walk, head out to Morte Point and enjoy the far-reaching view across North Devon’s spectacular coastline.
