About this house rental
The House of the Black Pied is an Art House extension placed in La Marina del Cantone, Nerano. Carved into the rocks, it was designed by Filippo Alison in 1964. The seaside is 5 minutes walk from the villa with all the amenities such as bars, restaurants and traditional shops. Gerrit Rietveld and Frank Lloyd Wright. The residence is also well isolated from neighbors thanks to natural greenery that makes each area suitable for descreet and refined guests.
La Casa del Piedone Nero is just a few steps from the beaches. They are all accessible by private stairs and equipped with all the necessary comforts: paddel boat and kayak are available on site as well.
Not far from Nerano - 30 minutes walk - is the Ieranto Bay, a site of the community included within the Marine Protected Area of Punta Campanella and safeguarded by FAI - Italian Environment Fund, where bathers can swim in the warm waters directly opposite the Faraglioni of Capri.
• Guests can relax and enjoy a wonderful breakfast outside the terrace where the chairs are placed under the wisteria or leaf.
• The interiors are characterized by one marble fireplace, high design seats and two single beds that, if not used, turn out to be very comfortable couches.
• A non-habitable kitchen, with a sink, gas hob, a fridge, dishes and a microwave.
• The sleeping area consists of one bedroom with a double bed and a fully equipped bathroom with soap, shampoo and hair dryer available.
• Rooms are provided with clean sheets and towels.
• The unit does not need any air conditioning system.
• Access to La Casa del Piedone Nero is free for all the guests and allowed through an external staircase that leads to the rooftop parking lot.
• Maximum discretion is required and respecting the principles of a residential complex.

Guests will have free access to the apartment.

• Boat rentals are available at La Marina del Cantone where guests can hire a goiter - a typical Italian boat - to reach Capri (30 minutes), Li Galli (20 minutes) or Positano (50 minutes).
It is strictly forbidden to smoke inside the house.
You will find a special ash-room outside.

Die Kommunikation war schon im Vorfeld hervorragend und auch während unseren Aufenthalts konnten wir bei Fragen auf die Hilfsbereitschaft unserer Vermieter bauen. Die Wohnung ist im Erdgeschoss über Außentreppen erreichbar und für zwei Personen ausgelegt, sonst schläft man im Wohnzimmer. Die Einrichtung ist urig aber sehr sauber. Eine Kaffee-maschine und ein Wasserkocher wären toll gewesen. Zu den Mahlzeiten kann man herrlich im Grünen sitzen. Die Zufahrt zum Parkplatz hat eine sehr hohe ausgebrochene Schräge, mit unseren Kombi haben wir dort ordentlich aufgesetzt. Nachdem wir vor jeder Fahrt Holzstücken untergelegt haben, blieb auch der Unterboden heil;-). Die Zufahrtsstraßen sind Italien typisch eng und am besten mit Kleinwagen oder Scooter(Ausleihen) befahrbar. Einkaufen in Marina del Cantone ist sehr teuer, da lohnt sich die Fahrt nach Sant'Agata ins Conad. Für Fahrten nach Neapel bzw. Amalfi kann man schon einige Zeit einplanen, die Straße verläuft häufig in Serpentinen. Boot ausleihen im Hafen von Marina del Cantone ist recht günstig, wir haben für den ganzen Tag 180,-€+Sprit bezahlt(6m Festrumpfschlauchboot mit 40PS Motor, in Italien Führerscheinfrei).
Eine Rundfahrt um Capri bzw. an der Amalfiküste entlang ist da ohne Probleme möglich. Schnorcheln kann man auch hervorragend, es gibt in der Nähe sehr schöne Buchten die sich lohnen(Barracudas, Muränen und Meerpfau sind nur einige Highlights).

The house is best described as quirky
A good sized living space, small area for cooking, a bedroom and bathroom with a nice space outside for sitting.
We found it hard to find but Ugo was very responsive and helpful
He offered advice speedily and helpfully
We loved Nerano. The house is a short walk to beach, restaurants and small supermarket.
We walked a lot and enjoyed the area very much. Will be back
$$$$
