Good budget accommodation

Large room, comfy bed, plenty of hot water, good size balcony with rack to hang wet clothes. Plenty of on road parking in late September. Quite simple, kettle but no tea/coffee. Swimming pool. Good breakfast at bar next door (the ‘included breakfast’ is a basic one, but you can choose more varied options and get the price of the basic off your bill). Dinner available at popular taverna a few buildings down. Helpful, friendly staff.

We had booked Haris Studios, which are just across the road from the sea. However we were put in Yiorgis apartments one road back, so only limited view of sea through buildings. Only a small beach close by, rocky access.

Great place to unwind

We loved the place and we felt right at home. The location is absolutely amazing, right across from the sea. It's wonderful to wake up before the sunrise and see the dawn colors creeping up from behind the hills and mountains in the distance. And to hear the sea when you enjoy a drink on the patio, with all the lovely cats. The room was not very big, but comfy, with AC and hot water all the time. Parking was easy, on the street, right in front of the door. Check-in was a breeze and the room was cleaned daily. The owners also have a small restaurant adjoined and the breakfast there is very good and the staff friendly. The "city center", plenty of restaurants and the ferry dock are only 5 minute away - close enough for a very short walk, but also far enough not to hear any noise. At first we were disappointed because we did not research the location properly - there is no southern coastal road, and all the great beaches, though close as the crow flies, require long drives - but then we learned to really appreciate Paleochora. It's just perfect to unwind and disconnect. I would never book accommodation in Chania because it's too crowded. Overall we really enjoyed Haris Studios and Paleochora and would gladly come back here again.

My iPhone charging brick disappeared from the room. It was connected to the cable, but, somehow, only the cable remained. I told the staff about this, hoping the charger would "re-appear" in our room, but it was gone forever.

Very very unsatisfactory and disappointing

I’ve been to Haris studios a few times previously This year I was farmed out to Tonia’s next door. This was NOT what I expected and in hindsight should have vigorously complained but I was told Haris studios were full. I had booked and paid months ago!!!!! I had no cooking facilities nor air con which required an extra payment. Obviously I shall not be returning - very disappointing as in previous years I’d have given it 5 stars!!!!

Lovely view on the sea front. Very friendly.

It was very clean. Right on sea front with balcony overlooking the sea. It was possible to park on the road close to the property. They were very friendly and also prepared to accommodate a 2 hr late check out so I could do a virtual meeting first.

Great location and clean basic units

The location is great, short walk to town and right across the road from the sea. The units are basic and clean. We had 2 single beds and we slept well. The room is quiet and dark. The staff are friendly and helpful.. I did laundry at 5 euros per load, wash only. No dryers so I had to hang clothes on drying rack. Kitchen area includes, sink, fridge and a 2 burners cook top. Minimal kitchen utensils but enough for breakfast prep. Haris Studios are very good value.

Our unit had a small sofa and it was very hard and so there is no comfortable place to sit indoors. As we were there in April it was too cool to sit outdoors in the evening. A microwave would be a great addition.

Excellent welcome

The lovely relaxed setting on the outskirts of Paliochora but close enough to walk and enjoy the nightlife.

Unfortunately didn't notice we had booked a garden view which was very disappointing compared with the seaview studios. Excellent value for money and will be back to see Haris and the girls in October to try the seaview 👍

Perfect stay there, location was at edge of town but easy walk to everything.

I thought the restaurant was very good and so convenient with great view of the sea. Loved my room with enclosed patio directly across from the sea. I would definitely stay there again. The resident dog, little Edwin was a special bonus. Hope to see him again too.

Great location, in front of a rocky secluded beach in a quiet neighbourhood 5 mins walk from the center.

Bonne halte près de la mer dans un quartier calme de Paleochora. Accueil aimable.

Bel emplacement au calme, à quelques mètres de la mer et d'une petite plage (mais j'avais la vue vers le jardin). Accueil aimable, bonne cuisine locale et service assez tardif. Parking aisé dans la rue (hors saison). Studio fonctionnel avec tout le nécessaire, dont un frigo et une bouilloire. Prix convenable, étant donné que l'hébergement devient trop cher à Paléochora, même hors saison (rien à moins de 40 €).

Petit déjeuner basique (mais bonne marmelade faite maison). Ouvriers au travail un peu trop tôt le matin et bruyants, juste en dessous de la chambre (certes, c'était occasionnel, un peu embêtant quand même un samedi matin à 9h).

Parfait, je reviendrai dans ce logement si je reviens à Paléochora.

Le logement est grand : en plus de la chambre, il y a un espace cuisine séjour. Le balcon est suffisamment grand. Le petit déjeuner était copieux et excellent. Le personnel était vraiment très sympa surtout la petite jeune fille qui s'est montré extrêmement accueillante.

Mare stupendo e struttura comodissima.

Struttura in una bellissima posizione, davanti al mare, vicino al centro ma tranquilla. Comodissima la spiaggetta a pochi passi. Ottima colazione con vista impagabile, proprietari gentili e simpatici.

Avevo richiesto la camera ai piani superiori ma mi hanno dato quella a piano terra, alla fine è andata bene anche così.
