Casa 1926

A superbly spacious, well designed and attractively furnished apartment, meticulously clean and well prepared. We especially liked the bright and airy living room with its well equipped kitchen area, also the firm but comfortable bedding. These features make Casa 1926 better than the more usual upscale accommodation.

The one criticism we made concerns the unreliable Wi-Fi connection - we were obliged to connect to the router in the next door apartment which only provided a very weak signal in the bedrooms. I’d rate Casa 9.9 rather than 10/10 for this reason. One other point to bear in mind is that the apartment windows and balcony overlook the busy main road through Chania town and face south, so the combination of the heat and the traffic noise makes it unpleasant to have the windows open during the daytime. This factor is offset by the ideal central location between the old and new areas of town. You can’t have it all ways!

A little hard to find at first, parking is difficult to navigate when you first arrive. Once you get settled in and familiar with the streets and nearby parking you’re fine.

Excellent location in Chania. Feels like a busy commercial street, but walk around the corner and you're in the beautiful historic port area surrounded by shops/restaurants/nightlife. Also walking distance to the beach. The apartment is spacious and clean (bathroom is a bit tight) and we appreciated the crib for our baby and the welcome & parting gifts!

Two flights of stairs to reach the inner door. Didn't bother us but guests should be aware. WiFi was a little spotty at times.
