Okay, but not good

The apartment was close to the train station

The pictures didn’t match the apartment at all, everything seemed run down and not well maintained. Nothing was really clean, everything was a little bit dirty, especially the bathroom. The sink was cracked and the ventilation rattled all the time.

The property is very cramped. Kitchenette light and fan not working. No sink plug and no dishwashing powder, so had to use bathroom basin for dishes. Minimal crockery & utensils. No bedisde tables. Do not stay here!

This accommodation is not what it is advertised to be. It is a very small basic flat/apartment on the sixth floor of a large block. We were given very scant directions as to how to pick up the key when we found our way to the building. Only by discreetly following someone into the building through the locked front door did we get access, as the directions to get access were not achievable. On getting the keys we did not know where to go as were not told the flat was on the sixth floor. Eventually, by asking a stranger, we found the flat. The bathroom decor is very old and tired, there were two clean but obviously well used towels and a hand towel supplied. We needed to buy toilet paper as there was only a few sheets left on the roll supplied. The bed did not have proper pillows, more like cushions. We noted that the small smoke detector for the place was shoved into a drawer with no battery attached. The dish cleaning cloths supplied were well worn and old, there was no dish drying cloth supplied. The list of facilities said to be available was not a reality. There is no access to a garden as described on Booking.com, the door to the garden is locked and there is no key available. The main ceiling light was not connected well to the ceiling and looked dangerous. The room became very hot overnight as we needed to shut down the outside shutters as there were no curtains or blinds only shabby net curtain. There is no air-conditioning only a fan. Our stay (unfortunately three nights) in this very small flat was quite uncomfortable due to this and our overall disappointment with the place. We had one key for the flat and a swipe to access the building. We weren't sure of security given that we had been able to gain access initially without a swipe. I query the positive reviews given about this place. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Great for a one night stay.

My stop in Lyon was just a short stop due to the train schedule not accommodating where I wanted to go. The studio was perfect for an overnight stop with a comfortable bed and a short walk from the train station.

I didn’t explore much but it didn’t seem there was much in the immediate area to do except a big mall.

Good location across from a shopping centre

Too hot in summer without aircon and you have to pay coins for the washing machine which is on the first floor of the building. Toilet wasn’t very clean when I arrived

Wonderful convenient apartment in Lyon.

Loved the location, it had everything I needed for a good price. Very comfortable room. highly recommend this for a couple or single.

I found it a little difficult to get into the building, but once I got the key, everything was great. The elevator was not working the day I left but the stairs were easy to manoeuvre, even though I had a big suitcase and I don’t find stairs easy.

Delighted to find this gem at the last minute when our delayed flight caused us to miss our onward train. Very flexible and easy to book and close to train station. Good coffee maker in the room and lovely firm bed.

The pillows were not so comfortable. Just need to refresh these.

- dirty kettle, dirty and smelly bathroom - the electric cooker didn’t work, so I couldn’t cook a dinner and breakfast for my 1 year old daughter, and the host was not able to provide timely assistance and refused to reimburse our stay

* even with the instructions it was very difficult to enter to that building. Thank god someone else was entering at the time I was there and open the door and showed me where The mail boxes were because you can’t find them easily. also the floor of the apartment was confusing ( it is in the ground floor). It could help to provide the apartment number and floor in the instructions *we couldn’t sleep in that bed. mattress and pillows were very uncomfortable * the bathroom had sewer smell sometimes * we tried to open the door to the little balcony, but the place just in front of it didn’t look very good, so finally we didn’t do it .

Practical stay next to the station

Close location next to the Lyon railway station, very practical, very efficient, good wifi, great host, small kitchen very useful

The pics show one apartment (which is renovated and has a garden) and a studio (which is not renovated and does not have a garden). It is clearly marked, yet make sure which room you book. The room and the towels may be cleaner, but I am not saying the room was not generally agreeable.

The location is nice, walking distance to the city centre, bars and restaurants. The apartment was clean and tidy

The room was noticeably smelling like cigarette, my partner can’t stand it and she had a hard time sleeping. The shower is fairly old and has mold in certain parts. Not a nice feeling taking a shower in there.
