Riad Elli Marrakech

Samir was most hospitable and looked after us as if we were family members, taking care of every request we made good naturedly – shukran Samir. I said the ease of our stay must be partly due to the proximity of the resting place of Imam Souhayli, one of the ‘seven saints of Marrakesh’ – certainly the Riyad is very peaceful and easy going. My three main boxes were well-ticked: hot water 24/7, comfortable mattress & good wifi – and we were within walking distance of the Qutubia mosque and Djema Fana, with local shops nearer by.

Our room was a little cramped for husband and wife to be able to do the prayer together – but in fact it was possible to do the prayer on the roof terrace, which was cool during the night and at dawn … and exposed to a refreshing breeze under a shady awning during mid-day and mid-afternoon – so mafi mushkila, no problem. As regards taxis from and to the airport, the drop-off and pick-up point was outside Hopital Ibn Zohr – a short walk to and from Riyad Elli – and help to carry our luggage was swiftly at hand – so mafi mushkila, no problem. The staff were very helpful and friendly from before we arrived, from arranging an airport pick up to giving us general city advice! The staff go above and beyond, from meeting us at the taxi drop off point to being easily reachable via messages. The staff are attentive and Breakfast was provided every day we were there at the allocated times. The room (we stayed in the one on the ground floor) was clean and had very good AC, the shower and toilet located in the room were also clean - I shall also add that the room was beautiful and spacious. Overall great hospitality and facilities which helped us to enjoy our week stay.

The only thing I may add is that the Wifi was weak at points however when exploring the city for most of the day (as you should!) that hardly impacted our stay.

My stay at Riad Elli was simply wonderful. The riad is very beautiful, cozy, and comfortable, with excellent accommodations that made us feel at home from the very first moment. The breakfast was also very good, always fresh and prepared with care. I want to give a very special thank you to Samir, who was incredibly kind throughout our stay. Always available to help, attentive, polite, and with a very genuine energy. He made us feel truly welcome and supported at all times. More than an excellent host, he became a great friend, and that made this experience even more special and unforgettable. I wholeheartedly recommend this riad to anyone visiting Marrakech 🤍

We stayed 2 nights, the second night we got another room then the first night and that room was really big, clean and perfect!

The first night we got a really small room we had literally no space to move or put our luggage. The floor was full of sand.
