I liked how it was a mini apartment with everything I need close by.
Everything was perfect for me and I have zero complaints, the owner was pleasant to speak to, when we crossed paths she greeted me and was lovely and polite, I will definitely book here again if I’m coming up that way again.

Breakfast was a great selection, never ate any as I was doing other things
My fault, in that I assumed there was direct access to the beach. Sadly because of where the property is, a path is not practical.

It was quiet and out of the way of the hustle and bustle.
It was clean, cosy and warm
Lin was very sociable.

Lovely comfy bed ! Apartment was lovely and clean , lovely location although a bit off the beaten track. Thanks to Lin for the clear instructions. Nice and peaceful getaway...
Could have had some sort of lighting in the garden leading to the apartment as it was very dark when arrived...even if it was just motion sensors. ( not a complaint.... just a suggestion) . A little microwave might have been useful maybe...

The view and the room
Photos and write up is totally misleading.Rooms much smaller and the owner is one of the rudest most unhelpful person. My room faced onto the front garden which was a tip.Broken chairs slides. Totally uncared for. There are no taxis the nearest bus stop is 4 miles away.No shop to get groceries. One of the worst places I have ever stayed in

Tucked out of the way and very quiet

Nice bonus to have breakfast but the description of the property was confusing as although breakfast was mentioned it also said it wasn't available - I guess that means cooked breakfast.
Basket of toiletries was old and needed replacing. Yes you could see the sea - just about, but I wouldn't sit out if the weather was nice. It was a stretch to say outdoor seating as you would be sat in a car park.

It was quiet at night as away from traffic
Not a quilt on the bed
Bed against wall which meant climbing from bottom to get in and out of bed
Decor tired looking with not enough attention to detail
No plug sockets near the bed
Light switch in middle of room - nowhere near the bed
Advert of booking gives impression of sea view from room without saying it so though it is accurate it feels misleading
Only one bathrobe for 2 of us
Towels were small
Shower head needs replacing as it squirms water in random directions - no good for long hair

Location is lovely
Room is comfortable
Lin was lovely and helpful
Typical autumn eight legged freaks however Lin was helpful in lending us a hoover to clear all the cobwebs 😆 this has no reflection on the property at all as the room was lovely

The Captain's Cabin is a clean, spacious room with a view of the Solent. The bed was very comfortable. I loved the nautical themed bed cover! Good sized fridge freezer and easy to use microwave. Powerful shower. Cereals, milk, tea, coffee and cereal bars provided. Lin was friendly and helpful. A great place for exploring the local countryside, walks along beach or coastal path on the edge of Solent Breezes. Very good value for money and I will definitely stay again!

Really beautiful decor all themed and laid out really well. The bed was so comfortable.
The floor in some areas wasnt very clean and some plastic packaging was left down the side of the bed by a previous guest and unfortunately some hair left on the shower wall which i hosed off myself. I also found the host a little rude.

The airbnb was a bit tired. The garden could do with a bit of love and attention

We had everything we needed for the 2 nights we were there. Clubhouse drinks
Very compact, like to have space both sides of bed, only hangers on hooks to hang clothes (no wardrobe). Clubhouse food wasn't nice.

Plenty of cereal packs and there was a pack of UHT milk provided.
Washing up the utensils in the tiny sink was difficult, perhaps a small washing up bowl might help with this.

Nothing all worked well.

Perfectly laid out with everything you could need. It was also extremely comfortable.
I couldn’t fault the property
2.0 / 10.0
milk was off..a carton of opened uht was provided in the fridge that was not really cold...even though we turned it up high.
Breakfast was meagre.....one very tiny portion of shreddies, cocopops etc.
two packs of not very nice plain biscuits provided....I think this was supposed to be the "chocolate biscuits or chocolate" that was part of the blurb.
Seemed nice as we pulled up and went in to the room....very small and low ceiling but seemed snug and cosy. It wasn't until using facility that we realised how grubby it was. Chunks of dust and dust-webs on the floor- behind and around tv table and behind toilet. Toilet seat hinges were grubby. Toilet roll literally had dust lumps on it. I don't think that the floors get swept and the ridge to the base of the outer side of the shower was dusty, plus all behind the toilet too. The cutlery and crockery was not up to scratch...one of the dishes literally had mould growing within the glazing and the glasses were very dusty/dirty. It is self-catering...but the landlady should have checked that these were in good order before new guests arrived. The cheap polypropylene mat in the living/dining area has such a curl in it at the corner by the shower room that we had to permanently leave items on it to stop ourselves from tripping (as we had done several times). The "welcome book" was incredibly grubby and had some rather kind of "shouty" instructions, as did the message in the crockery cupboard. Took a parcel for the landlady...didn't mind.....but on letting her know that I had taken it she was extremely rude about the driver and told me to go put it outside her front door....even though she was at home!!! I found her to be rather "entitled" and she made us feel as though she was doing us a favour! On the Saturday the place and outside stunk of sewage for several hours. I had been up to the shop on site and it didn't smell there....only around the property. Really gross.

The location is a property in a holiday park right on the coast, the beach is a stones throw. It was very windy during my stay so exploring the beautiful country walks around Hook was the perfect way to avoid the elements. The convenience was being able to make my own food, as there are limited options locally.
while the pictures are accurate some of the information presented is a little exaggerated. I made my own breakfast, although there were cereal options, biscuits, tea & coffee. I personally didn't see a sun terrace or balcony. My room had a small table and chairs squashed into a garden bed, right beside the door that bashed on my arm as the wind blew.
The absence of a toaster was puzzling, looking at other reviews there is apparently a fire danger, which would figure when you know the room is a partitioned off part of the main property.
I didn't see the host during my 4 day stay, although I did receive detailed directions to find the property. Accommodation can be budget, yet cleanliness maintained, I felt this could be improved upon.

Beautifully presented. Everything neat and tidy.
Nothing to dislike, although a toaster would have been a bonus, but not a necessity.

I liked the location, Quiet out of the way with views over the Solent to the Isle of Wight, A bonus was the microwave and fridge.
The number of speed humps leading up to the park from the village, Some of which were quite severe.

Heating = non-existent (in March)
No kettle for tea or tea bags, UHT milk🤢

Breakfast was a choice of 2 little boxes of very cheap cereal with long-life milk.
The 'sea-view' was a spot of water on the other side of broken down fences, around the back of a building.
Everything
9.0 / 10.0
Everything you need all in one place, great little location. Table and chairs outside fridge freezer, microwave really comfy bed and pillows all the little extras like breakfast bars and packets of cereal plus milk in the fridge.
First time ever I didn’t bring any shampoo with me and there wasn’t any but they did have lovely body wash and lots of other little things. With it being the weekend it would be better if we could check out a little later like most places do at 11 o’clock because people tend to have a drink.

Compact, everything provided, including microwave, fridge/freezer, state of the art kettle. Private bathroom was even better than en-suite, because of being a separate room 2 steps away from bedroom
All good

A helpful, responsive host. Cosy, comfortable accommodation very near to the sea, lots of open skies. The basic self catering amenities worked very well for us. The added breakfast supplies, especially the Gluten free cereals were an added bonus. Very peaceful and private.

We loved the location and used the holiday park club which had an excellent band. The room was clean and bed comfortable..
The door to the loo didn't have totally obscure glass so it wasn't totaöly private from the other occupant. We are 2 very good friends so we made it work.
