About this villa rental
Villa Greta is a characteristic cottage which faces the sun and the sea. It sleeps two people. From Villa Greta you will enjoy a wonderful view of the sea, of Positano and of the Amalfi Coast. Villa Greta is 60 square meters (645 square feet). It features a wide private terrace with a view of the sea, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed), winter heating and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be roughly 800 meters (half a mile) from Positano, where you will find restaurants, shops, the beach and the tourist port. You will find the stop for the local bus and the SITA bus a few meters (feet) away and the closest beach at 250 meters (approximately 820 feet) including 300 stairway steps. You will reach Villa Greta from the parking area going up an external stairway which consists of approximately 20 steps. Because of its position, convenient to the bus stop and with just a few steps to climb, traffic noise can be heard.
You will not need a car to stay at Villa Greta. If you do have one, you will be able to park it on the premises, free of charge in a private parking lot.
Please kindly note. The rental price includes: final cleaning; electricity; linens; towels.Available upon request: baby bed. Tourist tax, paid locally: From April 1 to October 31: EUR 2.50 per person per night. Guests aged under 10 are exempt. Refundable security deposit paid cash upon arrival: EUR 100 (it is returned to you at check-out).
Terrace
The terrace is 25 square meters (270 square feet) large. You will be able to enter it from the garden along an external stairway. It is equipped with a table, chairs, a sun umbrella and sun loungers. From the terrace you will enjoy a splendid view of the sea and of the coastline.
Living Room
The furnishings of the living room are elegant and bright, and include a sofa and an armchair. The dining table can accommodate four guests. In this room you will find a satellite television (local channels). From the living room you will be able to enter a small patio with a view of the sea through two French doors. The room is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Kitchen
You will be able to enter the kitchen from the living room through a cased opening. It is equipped with a four-burner induction cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, an Italian-style coffee-maker and a toaster.
Mezzanine Level with bathroom
In the living room you will find an open mezzanine level, without door. You will be able to access it from the living room along a stairway. The mezzanine has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/63 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The ceiling has an height of 1.90 meters (6.2 feet). On the mezzanine level there is a bathroom, decorated with majolica tiles and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a large fully-enclosed shower and a hairdryer. In this room you will find a satellite television (local channels) and it has an air conditioning/heating unit.
Half bath
The half-bath is dug into the rock and equipped with a washbasin and a toilet. Here you will also find a washing machine, an iron and an ironing board. You will be able to enter it from the living room.

From when we arrived the communication and luggage assistance was excellent. The house itself was PRIVATE and quiet!! We spent every night on the top terrace eating home cooked meals and listening to the quiet streets of Positano.
This is the place to stay if you want to be close enough to the centre but far enough for some peace. The beach only 6 min walk away and is super quiet there too unlike the centre beaches. LOVE. Thank you

Villa Greta was excellent. It was in a great spot and had everything we needed. The view was spectacular and was great to have a car space.
The manager of the property was very helpful and looked after us.
We enjoyed our stay and if we come back again would definitely book Villa Greta again as it was perfect. Can't really think of anything to make the villa any better to us, it was all good.
Had good service from Summer In Italy, replied very quickly to emails.

We had a really lovely time at Villa Greta. It was perfect for the two of us. The villa itself is lovely - just like the photos and very clean. The terraces blew us away - the flowers, the lemons, the view - all so breathtaking. Everything is kept up beautifully. Wi-Fi, which was the most important to us, was not working when we arrived. One call to the owner and the staff came over immediately to fix it. They were absolutely fantastic! Met our every need.
The road noise did not bother us, being from NYC. The location was very convenient - with 2 groceries nearby, the bus stop right across the street, and an easy walk into town, and a fantastic restaurant just down the road. We would definitely come back.
Summer In Italy was great. Thank you all for all your help. I kept asking questions and everyone was so pleasant and helpful. I felt very comfortable traveling with your company. Would use your service again.

Villa Greta is a beautiful property with spectacular views!
The sun terrace and gardens are gorgeous. My husband and I truly enjoyed our 5 night stay! I would go back in a heartbeat! Free parking was a bonus and the AC worked extremely well! Only note the shower was sometimes lacking hot water and water pressure; however, my husband and I were aware of this from previous reviews.
The hosts were very helpful in every way.
Summer In Italy was wonderful in answering all of my many questions prior to arrival etc. Thank you for all your help!
