Perfect mountain getaway

Exceptional
The host is very friendly, and it's a beautiful location. There are wonderful hikes a short car ride away, and the lights from the valley create a beautiful view at night. This place is perfect for a weekend getaway or a stop for a couple of nights on a longer trip. The kitchen is fully equipped.

Warm cottage in the mountains
We stayed at Breckenbreck in end December 2021. the location was perfect for us- quiet, distant from the busy city and with amazing scenery. We were renting a car, so it was not a problem for us to get there. Orietta, the hostess, is very kind and helpful. She explained us in great detail how to find the property, which roads to take and she stayed online ready to guide us in case we get lost, but we found the house with no problems. The house was cozy, warm and very cottage style. Everything was available: plates, cutlery, frying pans, even the basic stuff like salt, pepper, sugar and oil. I found it quite helpful, as usually not every host gives basic cooking ingredients. We liked a lot the chimney in the middle of the room. Orietta showed us how to light it up and we were using it almost every day of our stay for a wonderful winter atmosphere. The shower also had everything you need: towels, soap, hair dryer. In overall we had a wonderful time in Breckenbreck! it is perfect for a cozy couple stay. The windows were overlooking the mountains and that is the first what you see when you wake up. Amazing! We loved our stay a lot! We liked everything!

Exceptional
Our stay at Breckenbreck was absolutely fantastic! The place is sorrounded by mountains, thus drinking morning coffee with mountain view was a delightful way to start mornings. The house felt like home for our family. I will not even have enough of words to describe the kindness of the host Orietta. She would spend time recommending places to visit, according to each’s taste: from a child to a more committed dad. And then would translate her italian recomendations to lithuanian and print it! Orietta was so kind and our daughter was in love with her. The house had everything we needed: kitchen, kitchen equipment, washing machine, shower/wc, dining area, sleeping area and a terrace with the beautiful view and much greenery. The place is authentic, with the spirit of people who care about this place. The place was also situated in a convenient location to reach beautiful spots. We had a car, thus all hiking places were close enough to reach (from half hour to hour). The nearest town (Doues, very cosy ancient town) was 2km down the hill, with a picteresque walk to offer (although no sidewalks on the not such a busy road). Overall, we give 10/10 to this place and would like to revisit one day.

Peaceful haven!
It had everything you needed and was perfect for the two of us. Clean, amazing views and our host was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and went out of her way to tell us about the fabulous walks in stunning locations. She advised us where to shop, where was good to eat and her kindness made our holiday. We will go back.
