Cool Vibes Beach Hostel

This was the best hostel I've ever stayed at. I've stayed in only one other in Costa Rica, but probably 10 in total. The layout and facilities fostered great connection with the other guests. Everyone was so friendly and chill. I loved that there''s a pool surrounded by jungle plants next to the big community room. The community room had a few couches, tables, a large screen TV with lots of channels, and a bulletin board. There were also games, lots of outlets, a couple of guitars, and a resident cat. The kitchen was very large so could accommodate lots of cooks at once, and there were recycling bins in a small area off the kitchen that made recycling easy. There was also a large rooftop room where yoga classes and a skateboard ramp were available for a fee.

It was very beautiful, had everything I needed. The energy there is beautiful and the staff as well.

Definitely cool place to stay when in Dominical. Close to the beach and the town center. Clean and convenient room, cozy common areas. Staff super kind and very helpful.

The place looks really nice, a good first impression. The rooms are spacious and clean. I love that there's a bathroom inside the dorm! The kitchen is big and clean. The common area is really nice. Location is great, close to everything around. Staff is nice.

I did not like the fact that there were so many families with kids staying at the hostel. Every time I wanted to get into the pool it was occupied by the whole family, and the kids playing there just killed the vibe for me... nothing against kids ! Love them.. but it was NOT the vibe I expected when going to a hostel called cool vibes.. :/ and the situation did not allow me to relax and cool down in the pool as much as I wanted. After 3 days there the water in the pool did not look so clean. I also didn't like the fact that the dorms are mixed. The woman staying with me said she saw one of the men staying with us, pleasuring himself in the middle of the night. So I didn't feel super comfortable sleeping there with men around. Also someone took my beer from the fridge, with my name on it, on the first night. I guess I wasn't so lucky when it comes to the people who were there during my stay.
