Hotel Roman Maramures - Ski & Spa Resort

The room and the whole hotel was really clean, the view from the room was excellent. Lots of parking spaces in the upper parking.We liked it so much I'm the first day, that we eventually booked another night at the frontdesk. The pool was great, and the same for the jacuzzi. Also the saunas were perfect on Sunday.

The breakfast is new and a la carte, which is not my type, it was ok, but on the second morning we decided to eat somewhere else. But the food from the menu is really good and fresh. We tried 5 different things in 2 days and they were all great. At the restaurant there was a person, who seemed to be the manager or head waiter, and which had a very odd and unprofessional conduct with the new employees and also he talked to us with a bit of superiority, like we should be thankful that we are in the restaurant. We had 3 encounters with him(not necessarily directly), and all of them were poor. Maybe he is new, but I think he needs to work on his manners and manager skills, or look for another job. The waiters, even though they were quite new to the job, were great and very helpful. We didn't know that outside of the weekend days we should announce that we will need access to the saunas and they were not working.Keep in mind to announce at the desk if you need to use the saunas.

The facilities were great. Despite the freezing weather, the AC in the room worked great and it felt very comfortable. The room and the facilities were very tidy , clean towels at the spa and changing every day if needed in the room.

The food was good but better value for money at the next door hotels/restaurants. It was great that you didn’t have to go far though if something quick was needed

I didn't like that they didn't offer room service, even though it appears on the booking. in addition, although they have a spa area, you cannot benefit from a massage, so the price asked for one night's accommodation seems much too high for what they offer as services. The view of the room on booking appeared towards the mountain, and on the spot it was directly towards the parking lot and you could not see the mountain at all.
