"Podere Osteria” is a country house which was originally one of the first examples of European hospitals. The building, completely refurbished in 2012, is in the heart of the Val d’Orcia valley, an area marked by enchanting landscapes and the most varied Medieval towns. From its central location, you can visit all those places of major interest such as Pienza with its famous ‘pecorino’ cheese, Montalcino, famous for its wine and also Bagno Vignoni, famous for its thermal waters. The house is divided in 2 separate floors which are not connected internally, comfortably furnished. The garden spreads over 1,500 m2 of land and the guests can use the private pool (6 x 12, 1.2 – 1.4m deep) (01/05-30/09) equipped with external shower, sunbeds and deckchairs, games for children and a large pergola next to the barbeque area where it is possible to enjoy outdoor meals. For the guests’ disposal and included in the price are: the use of the laundry room (in an external room on the ground floor), firewood, wi-fi Internet connection, baby bed, highchair, linen. To be requested and paid for on location is the maid and cook. Central heating. Car park on the property for 4 cars.ACCOMMODATION: (130 m2) Gr.Fl: 1 double bedroom (floor fan) with bathroom with shower and access outside. 1st floor (only accessible through an external stairway): living/dining room/kitchen (dishwasher, oven, freezer, microwave, coffee machine for American coffee, coffee machine, toaster, kettle),3 double bedrooms (ceiling fans) with bathroom with shower (one of the bathrooms has a Jacuzzi shower). LOCATION: 5 km Bagno Vignoni (thermal spa), 7 km San Quirico d’Orcia (all kinds of shops), 10 km Pienza, 17 km Montepulciano, 21 km Montalcino, 45 km Lake Trasimeno, 50 km Cortona, 52 km Siena.
