Vatican Rooms is situated in a lovely neighborhood and the building itself is very respectable, clean entrance and very quiet.
The property is a flat on the ground floor, with 4 bedrooms (if I remember correctly) and a communal kitchen. The kitchen was spotless and well equipped. Ours was room #1, a quadruple room (double + bunk bed). We found it very bright, spacious and spotlessly clean. Heating + air conditioning units were available. The bathroom was also quite spacious, it is provided with a typical Italian water heater on the wall, which provided ample quantities of hot water - contrary to what I read in some of the reviews.
Plenty of wardrobe/drawer space was available.
The flat is at street level but it is very safe, all windows are provided with grates and a type of Italian roller blind called 'serranda' which keeps the room very dark or dimly lit, depending on preference.
Whilst it is true you may hear some noises coming from the flat or the street, we slept very well, some days until very late! And without any issues, even though our room was literally an inch away from the flat's entrance door. I would also like to point out that I am a light sleeper and this didn't bother me
The property is less than 5 min walk from Cipro metro station (direct connection to Termini station and all main attractions) and San Pietro is at walking distance too. Plenty of buses from Cipro bus terminal as well. We found several local supermarkets (some better than others) in the area, along with traditional bakeries - Bonci is so close! - and artisan ice-cream parlours.
We (including a 9-year old daughter) would highly recommend both the flat and the area.
No optional breakfast option (but we knew that!) - providing this would complete the already excellent offering.
Pillows were so high, it was like having three in one, but that is personal preference and, to be honest, we didn't contact Michela (the owner) to have different ones.

The property was good. Very close to main locations . Also had shared kitchen. Overall was good.
Only thing I did not like was , there is no room keeping every day. We had to use the same bedsheets for 4 nights . And towels they just gave for two days for 4 nights stay. Was bit disappointed with that.

The room was close to the Metro station and other transportation. Fairly close to the Vatican. The room was clean and pretty comfortable for the price.
There is little to no soundproofing in these rooms. Ours was street level on the outside of the building; so we heard every single person walking by throughout the night. We were constantly hearing doors slamming and people stomping around. There was a group above us that was making noise all throughout the night. The insulation is so poor that we could make out parts of their conversation.
If you’re going to stay here. Bring earplugs.
We didn’t see the host in-person at all. All communication was over WhatsApp; and when we arrived to check-in at the time we specified, they were not responding to our messages. It took an hour before everything got sorted out. I definitely was not impressed with the check-in process. I will highlight again that the check-in time was specified before hand, and we arrived when we were supposed to.
