Incredible stay, a gem in Lake Como

Incredible stay, a gem in Lake Como for a reasonable price. The location overlooking the lake was incredible. The grounds of the resort: OMG. Flowers and fruits growing on trees! Just walking around the place was magical. I've never stayed somewhere that smelled like nature like that. The air was perfumed by blossoming flowers and herbs that they use to make the food with. Oh the food was 10/10. This place should be Michelin rated. What an incredible experience - for not a ton of money. Honestly I felt like I was staying at the While Lotus, not exaggerating.

Getting there was tough since it's secluded. But it's worth it. You are avoiding the big tourist crowds

Great views, great customer service!

Beautiful view over Lake Como, quiet, peaceful. Great customer service, Maria, Roger, Jessica, Luca were all wonderful, made you feel like home. Great breakfast too. Nothing like fresh farm eggs and butter! :)

As an American if you’re renting a car, steep one way hill. Kinda tricky when other guests are coming in and out at the same time as you. Also, would be nice to have a sign available so that the housekeeper isn’t constantly knocking in the morning.

Charming small hotel with lovely heated swimming pool, the hotel had a lovely character and the breakfast excellent, the small restaurant was really good too

Staff friendly. Breakfast good. No supper on Wednesdays so provided free shuttle bus to local restaurant. Well organised

There should be a warning that the property is quite difficult to get to up narrow winding road. Fine for us but not for elderly or nervous drivers

We had a lovely stay overall

The location is beautiful, with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The flower garden is simply charming, and the pool area is perfect for relaxation. We really enjoyed the food at the restaurant – both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The bed was large and very comfortable, and most importantly, it was quiet – I was able to truly rest and unwind. Other notes: I noticed that the access road was mentioned in several reviews. It is indeed narrow and quite steep, but we didn’t find it to be a problem. It’s a well-paved road, and if you drive slowly and carefully, it’s perfectly manageable.

The biggest downside for me was the presence of insects in the room, especially flies and mosquitoes – insect screens on the windows and door would make a big difference. I also missed having some basic amenities like shampoo (only bar soap was provided) and a bathrobe. The room lacked the cozy, inviting feeling that we found in other areas of the property – a bit more warmth in the decor would help.

The hotel is outstanding, honestly one of the best ive ever been to. Beautiful location, food was superb, usually i don’t write reviews, but this place is exeptional. I would call it quite luxury. Water in swimming pool was too cold for me. Apart from that everything was 10/10.

Treterre was an absolute highlight of our trip to Lake Como.

Le Treterre exceeded our expectations. In my opinion, it offers the most beautiful view of Lake Como. The room was very spacious, the staff incredibly welcoming, the view was amazing, and breakfast was pure bliss. Everything was perfect.

Fantastic view. The staff was very friendly! The food was very fresh and delicious. Great pricing for food and drink options. I will return. Just mind that this is free high up on a mountain.

How narrow the streets were. I did not feel comfortable with the idea of driving late at night with minimal visibility.

Fantastic stay!

Fantastic stay! All is 100% made with love. We enjoyed every minute of our vacation there. Views are outstanding, miracle heated pool and fantastic breakfast. *don’t trust the reviews about steap and difficult road. We had a big SUV and didn’t face any difficulties.

Wonderful breakfast and very helpful with gluten free option for my husband despite being very short notice of our stay.

Nothing apart from our room already being booked for the following night! We were slightly unsure we were in the wrong place when we drove up the hill - which was a bit disconcerting especially when it took a few minutes to get a response from the call bell on the gate - probably because we had booked short notice too.
