The smell of the thermal springs- very strong in our room and we had to ask for a room not facing the pool.

Perfect getaway!

The staff are amazing!! We got welcomed and toured as it was the first time here! Room is beautiful and clean! We only came for one night, and our room got cleaned twice! They even prepared the room for a night sleep! Breakfast is great! The omelet was delicious and of course the coffee! They has a valet service included which was so comfortable! And of course the hot pools was the star of the show!

Was hard to find the entrances gate. The lunch is served in small portions but quite expensive.

You will love the staff - but I can think of a thousand places I'd prefer to visit.

the staff and the manager in particular were great.

the smell was tough to handle (admittedly this is the thermal springs and just a naturally occurring phenomenon - but it is unpleasant)- the drive to the property was over poor roads that felt like a rollercoaster ride - very nauseating - little to do at the property - the golf course was in terrible condition and way over-priced - and the food prices at the hotel were simply way too expensive even allowing for similar issues at the better-rated hotels throughout Europe.

Amazing thermal spa and springs

Amazing thermal pools, which flow from directly beneath the hotel. A great and peaceful location near to two picturesque Tuscan villages

There’s always the faint smell of sulphur from the thermal springs. But you don’t notice this once you’ve been there for a while.

Lovely facility, especially if you play golf, which we don't.

This is a return visit for us to this hotel. We love the hot springs here that feed its outdoor pool! The service is impeccable.

We arrived late; we drove for more than 5 hours to get here. This is definitely a DESTINATION ONLY location! We only had about an hour in the pool because it closed at 7:45pm. The pool is open late on Friday evenings...we wish that the hours could be extended on other evenings as well. It still wasn't dark at 7:45 pm. The breakfast buffet was good, but not as diverse as we had in Rome. The only other "hiccup" we had was that we decided to book a massage for my husband after he received on his phone a "promo" price for a massage. When he got to his appointment, he was told that the promo didn't apply because it was for a specific type of massage (?) that he wasn't booked for. When you spend the kind of money for a room at such a premier resort, you don't expect this kind of "bait and switch" especially since it was only for an additional $40!

Fabulous rejuvenating spring but hotel somewhat impersonal

Very nice and comfortable stay. The source of the thermal spring was spectacular and the staff friendly and accommodating.

Thought hotel itself felt a bit sterile and impersonal. The bathrooms, though marble are slightly dated and there was some mild in the corner of the entranceway to my room.

Perfect place to unwind

We decided to choose this hotel as our relaxation day on our Italian road trip from Puglia to Florence. It didn’t disappoint. The facilities were great and the staff were very warm, friendly and helpful. We were also able to get an on the day couples spa massage which was divine.

In the heatwave a cold pool would have been great, however you are able to access one via the adjoining wellbeing centre if you want.

Very pleasant thermal spa!

The major draw of the hotel is of course the warm thermal pool with its healing qualities. We spent the day poolside occasionally in the pool. It was not recommended to linger in the pool, rather re-enter after a spell outside. The room was a bit functional, but satisfactory. Breakfast was generous and we were half board during our stay. The location of the hotel is distant from the next village but self contained. We had an enjoyable time, a bit different from our stays at other hotels on our trip.

A cool pool nearby would have been nice.

Beautiful unique stay in a superb location

The staff were really excellent and the pools were beautiful. I’m so close to the actual Saturnia cascades. The breakfast was excellent.

I did find given it is summer that it was quite warm in the room and the air conditioning did not work very well.

A spa like no other

This is where the hot springs begin that flow to the falls and was discovered 3,000 years ago. The hotel & staff are lovely! The spa treatments sublime, I would love to return. The resort provides noodles to float in the hot springs. The culture at the resort is to wear your provided robe, no need for cover ups or daytime attire, just bring bathing suits & clothes for dinner. The breakfast buffet was amazing including fresh pressed juices. Friday nights the hot springs are open after dark and there was live entertainment at the bar. We really enjoyed our stay!

That Apple & Google maps couldn’t get us there ..but the staff stayed on the phone & guided us directly to the door.

It’s worth the trip. The vista, the food, the service were all wonderful!

Everything! Grounds and surrounding area - beautiful. Location perfect if visiting the Saturnia springs near by. Hotel is located on its own natural thermal spring which although a bit stinky (sulphur) - you get used to it. The hotel facilities were fantastic. Giovanni in the restaurant was wonderful and welcoming and has great stories of his experience. We had some of the best meals in the restaurant at the hotel. Very very pleased we made the trip and stayed here.

There were additional outdoor pools etc that could only be used if you had a booking at the spa. The facilities were plentiful anyway but it was a shame to not be able to use all the outdoor pools and indoor spa facilities when staying at the hotel.

I didn't take into account that the tetmal water was sulfur. I thought it would be volcanic hit soring. The smell came to me as a surprise. In the worst way. You can not escape from it. Even the restaurant, which is great if the sulfuric smell doesn't bother you, is located literally on the pool. This all about managing expectations....

Very relaxing stay, the accomodations were great and the staff was very nice and helpful.

The hotel is beautiful and the spa services were awesone. I loved that everyone was walking around in robes, the required attire for the hotel. Loved that they had champagne and chocolates in the lobby for everyone!
